Candidates using AI Generated Resumes on the Rise In a recent survey conducted by Stand-OutCV, a whopping three-quarters of people seeking employment are leaning on technology to write and refine their CV. Job seekers utilizing AI to produce their resumes could also equate to false or embellished skills and experience. Hiring managers must be savvy in uncovering misrepresentations by digging into the details. Formulating interview questions directly from the interviewee’s resume would immediately expose any lies. Running a resume through GPTZero software will detect AI generated v. human created. It’s also perfectly fine to ask if their resume was AI generated. This would give a candidate the opportunity to talk through their motive. Using AI software to produce a more impressive resume is not necessarily a negative tool if the intention is to assist or guide in writing the document. We cannot deny that advancements in technology will certainly be employed, and as long as the candidate can stand behind the written qualifications, it will become a standard in the job market. ✍ Crafting the Narrative of Fair AI Recruitment - The Role of Critical Inquiry We are witnessing a rush to turbocharge recruitment and hiring processes with the power of AI. I'm also guilty as charged, but we also have to embrace the role of gatekeepers and apply a dose of skepticism and strategic insight. 📈 It’s not just about adopting technology - before we entrust AI with the pivotal role in our recruitment narrative, let’s put on the investigative mantle and ask the probing questions that will define your success, or open the door to a trojan horse. 🐎 I might not have been clear enough in my previous statements, so let's make it crystal clear: HR and TA they are the architects of a ongoing recruitment revolution and we need to ask the hard hitting questions and demand answers beyond regulatory compliance. 🤘 Let’s not just adopt AI - let’s adapt it, mold it, and demand it meets the standards of our organisational values and societal commitments. Here are some questions that in my mind are worth asking. 🚀 So, are you ready to join the ranks of those who not only ask but also act? #AIRecruitment #FairHiring #InnovativeHR #TalentAcquisition #nexgentalent #recruitment _______________ 👋 I'm Alexandra M. AI is not inherently 'bad' and lying on resumes, um, not new.... Have and follow a robust selection process. Identify your needs, generate and ask questions focused on those (and your overall expectations for a new hire), and then validate what you find out with professional references. The AI isn't the issue.

Excited to explore how AI is transforming recruitment for the better! One area where AI is disrupting HR process is job description screening. Imagine an AI identifying vague language and contradictions within job descriptions. Scrutiny goes beyond keywords and empowers recruiters to refine confusing phrasing before the job goes live. AI in hiring process isn't just about efficiency; it's about ensuring fairness and clarity for all applicants. #ai #recruitment #innovation #futureofwork #technology #hr

Came across a quote from Jim D'Amico that really resonated with me. In an interview with SHRM, he said: "My team feels overwhelmed with what AI means to recruiting. Understanding what it can do, what it should do, what it shouldn’t do, there’s so much noise in the market." Jim is right, but there's something that's even more important. AI is inherently not candidate-centric. It CAN and WILL help recruiters with handling a heavier workload. But it can also create more distance between recruiters and candidates. Having spent my entire career in TA tech, I can say that my North Star was always enabling recruiters to increase their productivity AND be more candidate-centric. We need to make sure that new forms of AI do the same. But I want to hear what you think - will AI improve candidate-centricity, or does it run the risk of hurting it?
