"Where does energy come from? The power that propels us? Is it built in? Or is it made?" The 2023 Detroit Auto Show is here 😍 and if you’ve driven around the Detroit highways over the last few weeks or have gone to the event, chances are you’ve seen just a glimpse of what we’ve been up to for the last 6 months. We were so incredibly honored to help the talented creatives of Lovio George create the entire 2023 North American International Auto Show campaign. We knew it was going to be a massive undertaking, but we were up for the challenge. Being trusted to create, produce and edit the campaign for such a historic show in our hometown is truly humbling and honestly badass. We couldn’t wait to get started, which is exactly where our minds went when we were first brainstorming concepts. Starting.. Beginning.. Origins.. And with the focus on electric vehicles always in the spotlight, we wanted to ask ourselves, "Where does Energy Come From?". This is what drove us (lol) to partner with the most talented creatives over at Lunar North to help us bring this idea to life. We wanted to highlight the present and future of mobility to show where it all started, and its rapidly-approaching future. By collaborating with local talent like Lunar North and Jessica Care Moore, we were able to pull this campaign together and bring it to life. It’s truly electrifying, and we couldn’t be more proud ⚡ North American International Auto Show - Origins Client: Detroit Auto Show Agency: Lovio George Executive Producers: Lovio George Davis Nixon Nikki Finn Production/Post Production: Reprise Post Editor: Reprise Post Assistant Editors: Elsa Nilaj , Alyssa Thomas VFX: Lunar North Sound Design: Adam Carl, Mike Regan Color: Elsa Nilaj Voiceover Talent: Jessica Care Moore https://lnkd.in/ggWpS9k8

Drop 😀 if you read this! I just attended a CAR SHOW as part of Little Italy San Jose's Annual Italian Festival. Those vehicles are all so beautiful and expensive. But I could not stop thinking about this article I wrote a while back, about machines that are PRICELESS! And guess what? We all OWN ONE! THE HUMAN BODY...Check this artcle out and drop a comment after the quick two minute read!

Let me tell you about trying to run an EV site in 2024. We keep hearing that "auto shows aren't for media anymore," and while I agree with that statement, there are still sometimes events and reveals that happen at them. They are far fewer and farther in-between, for sure, but they still happen. I have to make a decision at some point whether or not to attend. Even with a hosted slot, I still have to make a decision whether to fund out of pocket a videographer to help provide coverage, or make sure I'm there if there's more content that needs covered. I do not have the resources to commit a full team to every auto show. I'm fortunate that many automakers will help me decide if I need to be there, but it'd be extremely helpful to know in advance of an auto show (and not like 3 days in advance) what press conferences there'll be. I don't care if the organizers are struggling to fill spots. I need to know if I should attend your event. If I attend and there's nothing for me, I've wasted my money. If I don't attend and there is something, I've wasted an opportunity cost for not being there. Why is this so hard?

The best part about exhibiting at car shows? - - - Making new connections with genuine car enthusiasts. Sure, there are many other aspects I enjoy about car shows. Such as, meeting people that truly value and respect my trade. Experiencing the sense of community and excitement. Witnessing a significant amount of people whip their professional cameras out. Exploring how other car owners maintain their vehicles. Learning the story behind each vehicle. And of course, checking out the variety of cars on show like a kid in a candy store. However, the best part for me will always be the conversations. What’s your favourite part about car shows?

//DO YOU REMEMBER THE DAYS WHEN CARS STILL GOT SOUL & STYLE 🔥 Let's talk about where our beloved German car industry is headed. You know, there was a time when owning a car wasn't just about the drive from point A to B. It was about making a statement, feeling the prestige, and yes, flaunting a bit of that status symbol charm. But it seems like the industry's taking a different turn lately. Seems to me, they're missing the mark by focusing too much on making cars just another commodity, when they've always been so much more to us. We love our cars for their style, their power, and what they say about us, not just for their mileage or price tag. It's not just about going green or tech-savvy (which is awesome, don't get me wrong), but also about keeping that special flair that makes a German car... well, a German car! Here's hoping the industry remembers what made us fall in love with their cars in the first place and finds a way to blend the new with the traditional charm we all cherish.
