Feeling hesitant about stepping into higher education because you lack formal qualifications? You're not alone, as this is something that many #RPL learners sometimes experience. Here's why you shouldn't let the lack of formal accreditation hold you back: Reflect on Your Journey: The RPL process encourages you to take stock of all your informal learning and experiences. This reflection isn't just about ticking boxes; it's about understanding the depth and breadth of what you've learned outside traditional education. Recognise Your Expertise: Many are surprised to find that their years of work, life experiences, and self-taught skills amount to a substantial body of knowledge. This realisation can be incredibly empowering, boosting your confidence to pursue further education. Pathway to Accreditation: RPL provides a clear route to having your skills and knowledge formally recognised. This recognition can shorten the path to a degree or qualification, making higher education more accessible and tailored to your life. Have thoughts or questions about RPL? Quality of Higher Education is quite questionable in global context and in terms of knowledge imparted. Majority of colleges and universities are incapable of meeting international standards of Higher Education. NAAC accreditation enables an organization to identify it's strength and weakness in order to fill the crucial gap for imparting quality education. This workshop helps a lot to identify the Do's and Don't during NAAC peer team visit and improve the overall performance score of an organization during the entire accreditation process.

Today, I have been in the North East congratulating all those today receiving BTEC, T-Level and A-Level exam results on behalf of The Northern Powerhouse Partnership. The higher proportion of those receiving A* and A grades at A-Levels compared to last year across the North has seen the gap with better performing regions close. However, there is still a significant gap with London where 31.3 per cent of students achieved the top grades, compared with 23.9 per cent in the North East; which is positively no longer the lowest performing of the English regions on this measure. However, compared to pre pandemic the gap between London and North East is still wider than it was then. Closing the disadvantage gap is measured in education, but its causes are issues from health to housing, and are not all in the power of our schools to fix. 3 Days & 30 Meetings Later 👋 A successful wrap of the Spring 2024 British Boarding Schools Network workshop Now is when the hard work really kicks in Having done countless “speed-dating” conferences in my career BBSW holds a special place in my heart 👉Focused (U.K. boarding) 👉Friendly (“almost” everyone is here to make friends) 👉Fast-paced (you gain most out of it if you’re on top of your game) It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted unless you’re prepared to go full in Not much has changed this time round Schools who win are always the ones with a growth mindset, open to new relationships and spend the effort to choose partners wisely Schools who lose are ones still with an air of arrogance, currently inundated with applications from certain regions, rest on their laurels and not bothered to review if better alternative pipelines exist I’ve seen it time and time again in the last two decades Chasing the holy grail of diversity in volatile markets where good students are like gold dust And leaving their eyes off the ball in mature markets where volume applications don’t necessarily equate to good student enrolment The tide is turning now. I feel nervous for schools who are so set in their old ways Then again, it’s not my problem My focus remains on school partners who value us and take our advices on board However bumpy the road ahead is, we will do our utmost to circumnavigate this journey together. #UpwardsandOnwards #InItTogether #TruePartnership #InternationalEducation
