✌ It is certainly role of a patient driven organisation to understand why different disciplines, stakeholders look at a same condition differently. Where does your depression live? In your brain? In your social network? In your interactions? In your soul? In your faith? In your behaviour? I think it's especially important that these approaches come closer, while also making sure we agree that our emotional state resides within US. In beings, patients, happy people, unhappy people. That is why it is important for GAMIAN-Europe to be there among the professionals, when it comes to mental well-being. 🔴 On March 7, clinicians, researchers, patients, MEPs and civil servants will gather in the European Parliament to showcase the importance of placing the brain as a top health and research priority in the EU, in an event hosted by Colm Markey MEP (EPP Group in the European Parliament). Additionally, NIH is proposing supplementary draft guidance on government use license and rights and publication costs to assist the community with implementing the proposal. These materials reflect input received in response to the February 2023 NIH Plan to Enhance Public Access to the Results of NIH-Supported Research. The Umpqua Health Alliance (UHA) has a robust Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) that focuses on enhancing the health and well-being of Douglas County residents. The CHIP program provides grant funding to support various community health initiatives. Here are some key points: Funding Allocation: UHA has contributed over $2 million to support local projects aimed at improving social and community health, promoting economic stability, and providing essential housing supports. Recent Investments: In 2024, UHA invested more than $500,000 in 31 different community health-oriented programs. These programs address a wide range of health determinants, including behavioral health, healthy lifestyles, and support for children and families. Application Process: Organizations seeking funding must submit detailed applications outlining their project goals, budget, and how their initiatives align with CHIP priorities. Applications are reviewed by the Community Advisory Council (CAC), and successful projects must demonstrate measurable outcomes and community benefits. Strategic Goals: The CHIP focuses on addressing social determinants of health, such as access to healthcare, economic stability, and housing. The plan includes specific goals, objectives, and strategies to improve health outcomes in the community. UHA’s commitment to these initiatives underscores its dedication to fostering a healthier, more resilient community in Douglas County.
Umpqua Health Alliance’s Community Advisory Council is now accepting applications for CHIP funding. Visit the link below for the official application, and to learn more about CHIP funding. All applications are due October 15th. https://lnkd.in/dsHs_yX7
