RDA invites its members to respond to a recent consultation on two White Papers from the Global Biodata Coalition (GBC) looking at how research funders can explore partnerships to sustain the global biodata resource infrastructure. Specific topics of each paper focus on: 1 - How funders can enhance the sustainability of the biodata resource landscape 2- How funders can strengthen the implementation of open data policies Together they have compiled a strategy for funders to work together to enhance their implementation of open data. Long term funding and sustainability are key to discovery, preservation and and research data. The papers also aim to maximise the value of biodata at a global level.
