𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: Firstly, proper planning is essential for achieving efficiency. Before commencing the acid stimulation job, a thorough analysis of the reservoir and its properties should be conducted. This analysis will help determine the most effective acid formulation, concentration, and injection rate. Planning also involves coordinating tasks among different teams and ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are readily available on-site. By investing time in planning, potential obstacles and delays can be identified and mitigated. Secondly, accurate measurements and monitoring are crucial during the acid stimulation process. Real-time monitoring of various parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and temperature helps in evaluating the effectiveness of the stimulation and making necessary adjustments. Automated monitoring systems can assist in this regard, minimizing human errors and ensuring timely responses to any deviations. By closely monitoring the progress of the acid stimulation, operators can identify potential issues early on and take immediate corrective actions, thus preventing inefficiencies and reducing downtime. Furthermore, employing advanced technologies can significantly enhance acid stimulation job efficiency. The use of computational modeling and simulation software can aid in predicting the behavior of the acid in the reservoir, optimizing the treatment design, and determining the location of potential bypassed zones. These technologies can provide valuable insights into the reservoir characteristics and help the operator make informed decisions. Additionally, innovations such as coiled tubing and jetting tools have the potential to increase the speed and accuracy of acid injection, resulting in improved efficiency. Regular maintenance of equipment and infrastructure is another crucial aspect to consider. Prior to conducting any acid stimulation job, it is essential to ensure that all equipment is in optimal condition and functioning properly. Routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs or replacements can prevent unexpected breakdowns during the operation. By proactively addressing maintenance needs, unnecessary downtime and delays can be minimized, leading to increased efficiency and productivity. Lastly, effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders are necessary for successful acid stimulation jobs. Clear and continuous communication between the reservoir engineer, treatment engineer, operations personnel, and other related parties ensures that everyone is aligned with the objectives and requirements of the job. This enables smoother execution of the acid stimulation and eliminates potential delays caused by miscommunication or misunderstandings. Photo Reference, Credit: https://lnkd.in/gjH5JZxU

It all sounds very complex to me. And from experience quite often the results can be hard to predict. Blue Spark Energy Inc. has a simple WL deployed solution that is effective on all scale type. Our electro-hydraulic solution is targeted so can treat underperforming zones whilst totally missing out sand/water producing zones and will not cause any short or long term damage to the completion items or reservoir. What’s more we do not need any chemicals or need for a large coil set up so has a smaller carbon footprint and is better for the environment. Get in touch for more info.

Thank you for sharing. In this context borehole image logs should be mentioned as a very powerful tool to define the ideal intervalls for stimulation. At NiMBUC Geoscience we were involved in such projects and the detailed information about the fracture network we got from bhi data was crucial for a successful stimulation design.
