Hola friends and family!! 🖤 Every day my team works tirelessly to support refugees as they rebuild their lives in safety and with dignity. We provide essential services like resettlement, children and youth services, education, community resources, and psychosocial support to help our new neighbors thrive. But we can't do it alone. This vital work is only possible through the generosity and support of our community. Please consider making a donation which will directly impact the lives of refugees, helping them to overcome the many challenges they face. Here’s how your contribution can make a difference: · $50 can provide two months of bus passes · $100 can cover purchasing a warm meal upon arrival · $200 can cover purchasing a warm bed · $250 can cover a week of groceries · $500 can support multiple family’s utility payments, ensuring they have a safe place to call home. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue our mission to empower refugees and build a stronger, more inclusive community. Please consider making a gift today to support the work of me and my team. Together, we can help refugees not just survive, but also truly thrive. Click this link to donate:

💵 Financial Support: Every Dollar Makes a Difference Did you know that each refugee needs approximately $2,425 in financial support during their resettlement in the U.S.? This funding is crucial for providing the essentials they need during their first few months—safe housing, food, clothing, and other basic necessities. It also helps refugees access critical services like job placement, medical care, and school enrollment for their children. At REACT DC, our Reception and Placement (R&P) Program ensures that refugees receive the immediate support required to build a foundation for a new life in the U.S. With your help, we can offer the vital resources refugees need to successfully integrate into their new communities. ✨ Why Your Support Matters: Your donations directly fund the essentials that help refugees transition from uncertainty to stability. This initial resettlement phase is critical in helping families find their footing and ensuring they have the support to begin building new lives. Every dollar makes a tangible impact on a refugee’s journey to self-sufficiency, and together, we can offer them the support they deserve. 💖 How You Can Help: This GivingTuesday, we invite you to join us in providing the financial support refugees need to thrive. Your contributions are more than just dollars—they're investments in brighter futures for refugees and their families. 👉 Donate now: https://lnkd.in/emXjqdvU #SupportRefugees #GivingTuesday #NewBeginnings #BuildingFutures #CommunitySupport Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those seeking safety and a fresh start!

Global Rights Defenders is excited to announce our first fundraising campaign, aimed at creating real, lasting change for refugees 🎉 🌟 Displaced populations around the world deserve access to opportunities that enable them to thrive, yet barriers like lack of identification continue to hinder their ability to work, learn, and live with dignity. ☀ Funds raised will support critical projects such as our Kenya initiative, which advocates for access to ID documents, supports Refugee-Led Organizations, and provides vocational training opportunities. 💪 By empowering refugees and advocating for systemic policy changes, we aim to end the cycle of prolonged displacement and dependency. 🤝 Join us in supporting this cause and help create pathways to socio-economic independence for all. Today marks #WorldRefugeeDay, a reminder that children around the world, regardless of where they are from and why they have left their homes, should be treated equally. We are proud to be one of the humanitarian organisations that our corporate partner, Revolut, is fundraising for. Revolut customers are able to donate via their app to support UNICEF’s work, including our work to protect the rights of displaced children and families. UNICEF works around the world to help protect the rights of migrant and displaced children. We provide life-saving humanitarian supplies in camps for those who have been displaced. We run child-friendly spaces – safe places where children on the move can play, where mothers can rest and feed their babies in private, where separated families can reunite. We support national and local governments to put in place laws, policies, systems and services that are inclusive of all children and address the specific needs of migrant and displaced children, helping them thrive. All it takes is a tap in your app to donate. Visit https://lnkd.in/eHq3eMKV

For 45 years, Alight has responded to crises in dozens of countries, helping families rebuild with dignity and hope. This #GivingTuesday, join us in creating brighter futures for displaced families. What does our support look like? - Welcoming Afghan and Ukrainian newcomers into the US with the support needed for their first 90-days in the country - Enabling the future tech leaders in Africa with a coding school in Rwanda with the education needed to propel their futures - Supporting the over 10-million displaced in Sudan with nutrition and food during one of the worst famines in the region - Co-creating with local leaders and governments to create climate-resilient infrastructure in the Horn of Africa, ensuring those most affected by climate change have access to water, shelter, and livelihod training We can't solve the world's problems in one day. Yet today we can all do our part to unleash lives of abundance for displaced people across the globe. Today, every gift will have DOUBLE the impact - donate here: https://lnkd.in/g5pANmGE #GivingTuesday2024 #BeTheChange

If you drive by this unassuming warehouse building on Edgewater Drive, you would never expect that inside is a non-profit called Voice of the Tabernacle MultiService Center (VTMC) that has housed more than 240 migrants since the beginning of the pandemic. Contrary to the violently anti-immigrant rhetoric of the evangelical right-wing movement, Boston’s faith-based organizations have taken the lead when it comes to addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of thousands of migrants and refugees. Churches, faith-based organizations, and para-religous organizations are not letting up on their efforts to make sure that new arrivals are successfully integrated into American society. VTMC currently covers the costs of 10 apartments that provide housing to Haitian migrant and refugee youth and unaccompanied youth adults. Many of these youth are teenage boys and young men who have the hardest time finding housing. Made possible by the incredible generosity of Imago Dei Foundation, VTMC was able to get a $25,000 matching grant! Every gift, up to $25,000, will be matched dollar for dollar. DONATE $10, $25, or $50 to the #SafeHavenForHaitianYouth campaign to ensure that youth that move to this country have a safe place to live and a social support system. Share with your network and help us raise $25,000 by 12/31/24! #SafeHavenForHaitianYouth DONATE HERE>> https://gofund.me/382bbc15 Massachusetts Council Of Churches Episcopal City Mission Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston MASSACHUSETTS COMMUNITIES ACTION NETWORK INC Send Relief

There are just a few days left before 2024 ends. The year 2025 is filled with uncertainty for the immigrant community. That is why we need your financial support today so we are prepared to fight for local immigrants, no matter what challenges they face. Based on the ever-changing whims of the new administration, many of our clients risk immediate deportation, and - once again - children could be separated from their families. Your gift will support our clients’ greatest and – now, wildly unpredictable – needs. We will continue to be there to defend the rights of refugees and asylum seekers and advocate for their rightful inclusion in America - just like we did during the first Trump administration. We need your support today to meet the chaos that lies ahead. Help us stand up for immigrants by donating before 2024 ends: https://lnkd.in/eKgUTNab

We spoke with The Welcoming's Chief Executive, Tesfu Gessesse, about how funders can best support their work and what changes they would like to see over the next five years.
