One of my first books I ever radical career, was Kim Scott book that spoke about the power of being Candid at work, and her next book get stuff done was amazing, but it left some holes in my understanding that is when I read a powerful book the anatomy of peace, and my mind was blown. Please read all 3 because Kim Scott is amazing author. Both, radical Candor and getting Shit done are a necessity. This is a book that I strongly recommended for all veterans. One of the most powerful concepts to treat people like people. How to maximize your conference time ROI? asks Keith Ferrazzi Be a Conference Commando! When I led sales teams, I would hand out the Ferrazzi Conference Commando Tips to my people before every conference. (Easy to Google the tips.) One of my sales people bragged that they came back with 100 business cards. I asked "how many follow ups?" Them: I will call the 100 people to follow up. Me: Anyone can get 100 cards. Next time, bring back 10, or even 5 real follow ups, and then it's a successful conference. After that, they crushed it at conferences. * I'd also like to spend most of the time during the talks in the exhibit hall to meet the vendors and competitors, learn how they did things, what industry trends they saw, and compare notes. Why during a talk? Because the vendor hall was usually only vendors. I had their full attention. It's always about the long game. The EQ game. Build relationships with your competitors because you never know when you might need it. EQ over IQ. Empathy is undefeated.

How do you maximize your conference time ROI? There are certain things you can do that will help you build relationships quickly and with the right people. And I've been helping a lot of conference organizers by doing a virtual keynote for the attendees prior to the conference. I work with the attendees to prepare them to make the most of their time at the event. We talk about: 1. The 7 P’s—"Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance," crucial for setting clear goals and strategic networking to ensure conference success. 2. Effective pre-conference networking strategies. 3. Post-conference follow-up techniques, guided by a return-on-investment mindset. If you are organizing an upcoming conference and interesting in having this done for your attendees, send me a direct message and I'm happy to share more about this.
