Join the Center for EcoTechnology on August 30th and September 6th for a two-part online event dedicated to wasted food solutions for businesses and institutions in New York State. The first presentation, on August 30th will focus on two critical strategies on the EPA Food Recovery Hierarchy: food waste prevention and surplus food donation. These strategies offer benefits that go beyond their positive social and environmental impacts. They are practical to implement and can even result in cost savings. Tune in again on September 6th to discover the multitude of environmental and economic benefits associated with repurposing food waste as animal feed, learn about the replenishing wonders of composting for returning nutrients to depleted soils, and explore the potential of anaerobic digestion to generate renewable energy sources. These methods are beneficial for not only reducing unnecessary waste and potentially saving money but also can sequester carbon from the atmosphere. Register now: https://lnkd.in/g9fCep_k
