As business professionals, we usually tend to remain narrowly focused on only the events and updates within the industries we are in or the very tight related industries. In fact, expanding our perspectives by exploring conferences, trade shows and exhibitions in other fields can offer immense insight and benefits. Moving beyond our usual area of expertise and familiarity opens us up to new doors, novel ideas, innovations, and best practices from other sectors that may apply usefully to our own work as well. Broadening our curiosity and knowledge domains tends to fuel more creative, and impactful solutions over time. During the last year alone, I attended a high number of events across different industries. This provided me with significant advantages, including the following five most significant points: 1- 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Observing how other industries approach challenges and opportunities gave me a fresh perspective on my own competitive landscape. 2- 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤: Connecting with professionals from diverse backgrounds exposed me to new ideas and potential collaborations. In fact, I found that most markets can benefit not only from other markets' services but also from their experiences and strategic thinking methods. 3- 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Attending events outside my usual domain allowed me to discover novel approaches, technologies, and best practices that could benefit my own work. 4- 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Exploring different industries broadened my understanding of emerging trends and potential untapped markets. Meeting with professionals with similar educational backgrounds or job experiences working in completely different industries also broadened my perspective on my future goals and possible opportunities. 5- 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Attending exhibitions across various sectors allowed me to gain a more holistic understanding of emerging technologies, business models, and market shifts that could impact any industry I may work for. In general, attending events in diverse industries provides professionals with valuable insights and connections that can hone their skills. Broadening perspectives through engagement across different industries helps professionals to progress by exposing them to new and innovative ideas, opportunities, best practices, and potential collaborations that may come from outside their usual domain of expertise. #marketing #Expo #Exhibition #event

Strategic Storyteller & Content Specialist | Building Engaged Communities Through Authentic Narratives
Events are evolving into communication platforms because society questions anything that can't be validated through firsthand experience. It's hard to trust what we haven't witnessed, but when thousands share an event, each serves as a qualifier, confirming its authenticity. It’s all about trust. This is why live events have become powerful tools for communication for brands, politicians, educators, entertainers, and digital creators seeking to connect their messages, promote products, and build vibrant communities. That's why companies are spending money, and investing in our industry; it's the impetus for many of the recent consolidations and why we're expanding into markets once owned by the PR and Ad agencies Some companies appreciate this more than others having recognized this social shift early (Citizen Relations is a great example of this 👏Kevin Wagman, so is Sénik L'Agence événementielle ) but if you're wondering where to focus your efforts and how to build entities that will outlast your reputation as a planner to build valuable companies you can sell consider what I'm saying and evolve now The future of our industry is bright, but it's a lot brighter if you recognize where the opportunity is and start building a brand that will attract that business today. #events #communications #eventprofs

I'm reading a book on Muhammad Ali by Federico Buffa, an Italian journalist, writer, and television sportscaster. He recounts for us not only the sporting epic of an unparalleled champion, but also paints a portrait, at times moving, at times hilarious, of an extraordinary man, whose significance transcends the history of sports to leave a mark on the heart of the 20th century. While reading the book, my thoughts turned to one of Ali's most famous quotes and how I could relate it to the world of trade shows and events. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee," can be a powerful metaphor for the exhibitions and events industry. It has two parts that relate well to organizing events and trade shows: "Float like a butterfly" This part is about being graceful, light, and able to move and adapt easily. For event planners, this means having to coordinate many moving parts, juggle different demands, and calmly adjust to any unexpected changes or situations that come up. All while making it look smooth and effortless on the outside. "Sting like a bee" This part is about being small but packing a powerful punch. For events, this represents the ability to plan very carefully, stay focused and strategic, and ultimately create an experience that leaves a big, memorable impact on attendees, despite events being temporary. In summary, the quote encourages having both the gracefulness of a butterfly to adapt to circumstances, as well as the powerful sting of a bee to deliver an impactful event experience. Event organizers need this combination of flexibility and strength to succeed. Agree? Disagree? I'd like to hear from you! #tradeshows #events #eventplanners #eventprofs

Event & launch marketing consultant | Offering: high-impact event strategy, marketing & management | Results: More bums on seats & Increased ROI | Host of The Marketing Meetup Reading
I have an opening A new client opening Come September, I'm looking to work with someone really special. That someone will be driven by a larger than life purpose... Purpose to: 💫create a better planet 💫increase accessibility 💫open opportunities They will be invested in community, social enterprise, or be a generally good human. (and maybe even plant 🌳🌳 like me) They will be creating life changing ripples wherever they go, but feeling frustrated that they can't help everyone YET. They already run events, as like me, they love bringing people together. But too often they get side tracked by locating the perfect venue, catering options, and speaker demands - leaving marketing to the last minute. Or forgetting that they NEED to do marketing... which then results in having to postpone or cancel events that they worked on for months.😭 They know they want to step it up. In fact, they need to change their game - if they are to make the impact that they want to make. They are ready for growth and they know that events are just THE ticket. 🚀 If you have identified yourself in the above, then from September I have an opening for a client like YOU. If you are ready to step up the game with your events - then I'm just a DM away. #eventmarketing #marketingconsultant #newproject
