Huge thanks to Anke Herrmann for taking the time to interview me and learn more about DogFender. Anke, like me, has felt the fear of sudden, unprovoked dog-on-dog attacks. In her case, she and Leo, her 11-month-old furry companion, were strolling down the deserted alleyways of Grenada's historic part of town minding their own when suddenly, a big dog came out of nowhere. Sound familiar? They didn't think that they were about to be attacked! Dogs by nature are friendly, as was the case with Anke's Leo, who assumed the big dog was there for a sniff and play, but then things suddenly got heated, and that play turned into a big fight! Leo is screeching, and Anke manages to grab his harness and pull him out, but sadly, he has already been bitten. ☹ Thankfully for Leo and Anke, the bite was not fatal or too serious but enough to make Leo wary of other male dogs in confined spaces, possibly for some time to come.
