🚺Happy International Women’s Day! Thanks to the people who have made this possible and to the ones who currently make a contribution to gender equality! This is a picture of young me. I promissed her, that her talents will be visible and put to the service of many men and women who wish to restore their well-being. Thanks to the many women who have inspired me to dream and to the men, like my dad, who taught me the importance of education and financial independence ➡️ my first ally. Society has certainly given steps towards equality, but there is still some more to do. Information on the matter is key, as much as having the intention to truly connect with others. 🌱 This is when cultivating empathy can contribute its bit. 🙇🏻♀️When you are empathetic, you can treat your surroundings with more respect and understanding. 〰️ Being respectful keeps harmony in the world. ⚕️Experiencing harmony, brings peace and with peace comes health. 💪🏼When we are at peace, we can take decisions for the common good. The process starts with the decision of checking own believes, acknowledging them and training the will. Men: be there for women. Women: you are worthy. ❓What do you do to train your will in this matter? ❓What do you tell today to your younger you?

Providing the information followed by an exercise to apply the skills and knowledge certainly challenged me to think critically as a learner and to actively engage and participate, especially because the training was offered on an online platform. At no point, did I feel as if I was a passive participant. I spent more than two hours to complete the course and quiz." 📖 This course has been designed specifically by Lucy Ferguson, PhD for feminists wanting to start a career as a gender trainer or as an added confidence boost for those in the early stages of their work in gender equality. ➡ Dive in here: https://lnkd.in/dDyFARnC #Feminists #OnlineTraining #GenderEquality

Today, I had the honour of participating in 'Ring the Bell for Gender Equality' at the London Stock Exchange for International Women’s Day. Firstly, what an incredible opportunity and a lot of fun! However, on a more serious note, I sometimes grapple with the concept of female-only events. Having navigated through a predominantly male-dominated world, I find myself unsure about them. Yet, this morning's event reminded me that today is not about exclusion; it's about leaning on each other and learning from one another, regardless of gender. It’s about raising awareness across the world that whilst some women are still fighting for equality on boards, some are still fighting for basic sanitation and access to education. Having a dedicated day to raise awareness on a matter where there's still much work to be done can only be a positive step forward. Here are some key takeaways: - A diverse and inclusive workplace is a high-performance workplace - Breaking down barriers to gender equality requires collaborative efforts from all genders, forming alliances - Often, it's the small actions that make the biggest difference - Happy International Women’s Day! Let's continue the journey together!

Gender equality is crucial for a just and equitable society. Here are some reasons why it matters: Human Rights: Gender equality is a fundamental human right. Everyone deserves equal opportunities, regardless of gender. Economic Growth: When women participate fully in the workforce, economies thrive. Gender-balanced workplaces lead to innovation and productivity. Health and Well-being: Gender equality improves health outcomes. Educated and empowered women make informed choices about their health and family planning. Peace and Security: Inclusive societies are more peaceful. Women’s participation in decision-making promotes stability and conflict resolution. Education: Equal access to education empowers girls and boys. Educated women contribute to stronger communities. Remember, promoting gender equality benefits everyone. Let’s work together for a more equal world! #genderequality #humanrights #empowerment #peace #education

Making my first post on LinkedIn! As someone deeply passionate about women's empowerment and education, I feel it is important to acknowledge the strides we have made but also how much more needs to be done to achieve gender equality, particularly in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 5. Recent global events remind us that, while progress is being made in some areas, women still face immense barriers to personal safety, education, and professional development. These stories reflect the ongoing struggle for equal access to opportunities, highlighting the urgent need for global action. Education is the most powerful catalyst for change—empowering women not only to realise their own potential but to uplift communities. However, it does not stop there; we must also focus on educating society to build safer, more inclusive, and truly equal environments where women can thrive. I hope to contribute meaningfully to this conversation by continuing to advocate for women’s rights globally, in some shape or form. Let us keep working towards a future where women can achieve their potential and where gender equality is not just a goal but a reality.

🌟 Developing training to empower women in research careers: Our best practice advice 🚀 Despite an increasing number of women entering research careers, few of them end up in leadership roles compared to their male colleagues. MINDtheGEPs' training initiatives target these challenges head-on, fostering skills development and creating a culture of gender equality within partner organisations. Now, we share our best practice advice in a brief format. 💪🔬 “The emphasis is on a bottom-up approach, where we empower and encourage participants to become change agents within their departments and institutions. By equipping early-career researchers with the tools and knowledge to navigate gender biases, we aim to dismantle the systemic barriers that obstruct women's progress in research careers,” says Katarzyna Krzemińska, Jagiellonian University, one of the authors. “Our goal is to empower women at every stage of their research journey,” she continues. https://bit.ly/3w6oHnB

🌹 Happy International Women's Day! ✊ 🤝 👭 Today we stand in solidarity with women worldwide and honor their fight and the fight of those who have come before, for the benefit of those whose time is yet to come. We use this opportunity to reflect on gender inequality in education, as only 49% of countries have achieved gender parity in primary education and this gap widens at higher levels of education: 42% in lower secondary education, and 24% in upper secondary education. ♀ Gender-equitable education systems can contribute to reductions in school-related gender-based violence and harmful practices that jeopardize women's rights. 👩🎓 Women in academia often confront discrimination, harassment, and unequal opportunities, hindering their advancement and contributions to knowledge. ✨ This International Women's Day, let us honor the past, amplify the efforts of the present, and envision a future where gender equality is not just a dream but a reality for all!
