Absolutely, the word “why” is a powerful tool in the realm of sales. It signifies a deeper level of engagement with customers, moving beyond just selling a product to understanding the underlying needs and motivations of the customer. The consultative approach I’ve adopted, nurtured during my tenure at MADHUS and further developed at KARCHER, is key to building lasting relationships and providing value that goes beyond the immediate sale. It’s about becoming a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor.

That's so true, but sometimes, it's easy to lose focus on why it matters and the business benefits when the dialogue becomes very technical. Always have it as the driving part of your customer dialogue from the start, and then it's easy to continue building a strong business case and credibility.
