The University of Texas at San Antonio professors Yuexia Zhang, Min Wang, and Keying Ye discussed how the recent deluge of health-related data has increased the need for developing novel statistical methods and other advanced procedures to analyze and process data. This session explored topics including the causal relationship between geriatric depression and Alzheimer’s disease, the development of new life-saving drugs in Phase I clinical trials, and several commonly used machine learning models for the prediction of rupture status assessment of intracranial aneurysms.

For those who intuitively understand the tremendous #therapeutic potential that "modern day #energymedicine" has to offer (and like to geek out on research), this recent publication in the JIM - Journal of Internal Medicine by Cristina Blanco-Duque, MSc, PhD has it all. With a focus on #alzheimersdisease, this paper paints a highly compelling argument for the need to change the way we approach neurodegenerative diseases.
