What better way to spend a Friday than scouting for pollinators on #KepakFarm ?! 🐝🦋🪰 We’re excited to have started research with Sarah Larragy in conjunction with School of Natural Sciences Trinity College and RestPoll: Restoring Pollinator habitats across European agricultural landscapes 🚜🔬 Today, we conducted the first of many pollinator and vegetation surveys to be taken on the farm, and made some delightful discoveries! 4 species of fly, 3 species of butterfly and even a New Queen Bumblebee (despite some showers of rain and blustery winds!) Farmers are known for being custodians of the land, and that more recently includes acting as conservationists who nurture biodiversity and support ecosystems, by implementing sustainable practices that protect and enhance the natural environment. We’re enthusiastic to see how this research may benefit the industry.🌱

I LOVE everything about this 🐝 Bláthnaid Ní Fhátharta and Kepak Group...I'll be honest...I've always loved having the surname "Pollen" 🤣 ..and because of that I have a deep affinity with the bumble bee!! What an amazing way to role model care for the most important part of produce!!! 👏 🐝 ✨
