UX Storyteller: I design homepages that delight your audience. | 15 years experience. When I tell your story, your net worth grows.
Would you rather be in a corner shop or an art gallery? Jack, what the HELL are you talking about? Bear with me, this will become useful. Corner shops are usually 💷 Overcrowded shelves with everything 💷 Tiny poorly lit aisles crammed with stuff 💷 Overpriced, as they’re a one-stop-shop Art galleries are usually: 🎨 Few pieces of art, focused on one thing 🎨 Big open areas to walk, light and spacious 🎨 Focused on sharing beauty with others. The gallery is more luxury and lucrative. Because it has more SPACE. Add extra space to your homepage today. You’ll be amazed how much better it looks. P.S. For August only, I’m giving you an offer: Beware. It's only for people who: → Have £9 to invest in their website → Want more money in their bank → Can leave their ego at the door. Are you familiar with active listening? While interviewing a museum director about a multi-million dollar expansion, she made a comment at the end of our conversation. That small moment led to more discovery, an idea for this article, and a soon-to-be-revealed museum exhibit this spring. When we listen to understand, rather than listen to respond a world of opportunity opens. #4havensake #leadershipcommunications #leadershipbyexample https://lnkd.in/gHfd9sAu

CEO & Head of Inspiration at Global Street Art: the UK’s leading mural & hand-painted advertising co. Founder of London Mural Festival. Former UK breakdancer, doctor in evolutionary mathematics and museum founder.
Finished it! 😁 Over the past year my ‘side hustle’ within Global Street Art has been working on the Gallery in our HQ. We completed the ceiling yesterday, and with it the room. The Gallery is a museum with over 100,000 exceptionally well-ordered objects, largely sourced from eBay, showing examples of great (human) creativity from the past 150 years. Fundamentally, the space is about developing a greater sense of appreciation, as a key component of inspiration. Based on a quote by the brilliant Marc Lewis: “Creative people connect the dots but first they have to collect the dots”, we try and help anyone who wants to be more creative collect a few more ‘dots’. There isn’t another space quite like it - it’s hard to forget. The Gallery is also a case study of how to use neurodivergence as a tool, given the right environment and resources. It won’t last forever and it’s not supposed to but for now, somewhere in an Old Street basement, there’s a beautiful space with the potential to help you see some things a little bit differently. If you’d like to visit you can reach out to me, Sam Berry or Benjamin Fishlock 🐠🔒. Tours are limited by our capacity but we try and squeeze in people/groups where we can. #globalstreetart #museum #gallery #creativity #hiddengem #graft

Almost half (44%) of galleries are booming, but the rest (26%) are facing some serious challenges. What's going on? Think small businesses with a big impact! Most French galleries are like cozy shops, representing around 22 artists each. They champion contemporary art, but mainly focus on selling new works. Only a few deal with older, established pieces. Here's the shocker: while 44% of galleries are pulling in profits, a quarter are running in the red. This split shows the ups and downs many galleries face. Growth, decline, or somewhere in between? The news isn't all bad! 24% of galleries reported growth this year, but 8% saw a decline. This mix proves how important it is for galleries to be adaptable and creative to stay ahead in the ever-changing art world. So, how can galleries stay ahead? 👉 Utilize social media and online platforms to showcase art and connect with a wider audience. 👉Host unique events, offer virtual tours, or collaborate with other businesses. 👉Support artists through workshops and marketing initiatives. 👉Offer educational programs and events to attract new art lovers. What do YOU think? How can art galleries stay relevant and exciting in today's world? #FrenchArt #GalleryLife #LetsTalkArt

In the art world, a significant amount of transactions take place through off-market transactions that are not widely publicized. These discreet transactions often involve a niche network of collectors and remain hidden from the public. Unlike works of art sold at public auctions, these private sales rarely attract attention. But it is in these off-market exchanges that some of the most unique and unexpected creations can be discovered. These secretive deals create an intriguing parallel art market – one that operates outside the limelight, where hidden treasures quietly change hands, away from auction houses and public galleries. For artists, collectors and connoisseurs, this secret kingdom holds the thrill of discovery, exclusivity and unearthing hidden gems. Whether it's a breakthrough from an emerging artist or a masterpiece from an established name, the off-market art scene remains a fascinating realm where connections, trust and personal relationships play a central role. So the next time you come across a wonderful piece of art, consider that it may have passed through this shadowy corridor of private sales, avoiding the public eye and adding to the mystique of the art world. #artworld #mysterious #mystreriousartworld #art #artIncognito #artsecret #artsales
