While speaking on the topic of "Opportunity Bharat - The Many Avatars Of The World’s Most Exciting and Aspirational Market", Sandeep Varaganti, CEO, JioMart, Reliance Retail says, "#Digitalization at multiple fronts is bringing around a change in the mindset of #consumers as well #retailbrands. A decade agao, tier 2 and tier 3 cities did not have stores or showrooms which meant the consumers there did not have access to products. But now due to widespread #onlinecontent and OTT platforms, #awareness about particular brands and products is growing multifold." We at i-TEK RFID also believe that customers #researchingonline and #buyingoffline are eager for a seamless and enriched #instore experience. Retail brands can enhance their #customerexperience with #rfidsolutions like #fittingroomanalytics, #reducedstockouts, #realtime #replenishment and higher #inbound #outbound throughput. #itekrfid solutions can help retail brands in efficient #supplychain and #warehouse management. There is indeed, no other business bigger than feeding the most Populous Nation of the world....! DMart - Avenue Supermarts Ltd is now valued at Rs 3.50 lac crores....!! with just 375 stores.... Clearly, Bharat/India can have atleast 4000-5000 large format stores as of today and the need will only increase with Bharat/India becoming more affluent in the coming decades. Potential competition for DMart - Avenue Supermarts Ltd's monopoly with a Master stroke by Apparel Group by bringing back Carrefour again to Bharat/India. Apparel Group is also playing silently a very smart and aggressive play in the Fast/Value Fashion Retail in Bharat/India with R&B India (Rare & Basics Private Ltd). There would be a lot of learnings for Carrefour in their B2B avataar during their last stint in Bharat/India. Apparel Group may have to overlay an Omni-channel strategy with their advent in the Food & Grocery retailing in India Apparel Group will need to build a great team, which stays for long and have a consistent execution strategy over the next 10 years to build onto this incredibly large opportunity. Here's wishing Apparel Group the best for their advent into the Food & Grocer market in India Nilesh Ved Sima Ganwani Ved GRAND HYPER MARKET LuLu Group India LuLu Group International SPAR India (Max Hypermarket India Pvt Limited) Landmark Group Alshaya Group Majid Al Futtaim Panda Retail Company – Savola Group Chalhoub Group Tamimi Markets
