🚀 AI in Manufacturing: Tractian Secures $120M in Series C Funding 🚀 Despite the cold weather, AI funding is still heating up, with manufacturing AI startup Tractian raising a cool $120M in its Series C round. Led by Sapphire Ventures, the round also saw participation from General Catalyst, Next47, and NGP Capital. Based in Atlanta, Tractian is revolutionizing industrial maintenance by combining hardware, software, and AI to modernize processes. Dubbed the "Industrial Copilot," the company aims to address the growing issue of unplanned downtime, which costs the world's largest 500 companies a staggering $1.4 trillion annually. The manufacturing industry is facing a workforce challenge, with an aging workforce and fewer younger workers entering the field. As CEO Igor Marinelli notes, the gap between human expertise and machine understanding continues to grow. In response, there's an increasing push to reshore manufacturing to build more resilient supply chains. Since its inception in 2019, Tractian has raised over $180M, including a $45M round in August 2023. Haber, an industrial artificial intelligence (AI) startup, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $44 million in a Series C funding round led by Creaegis, BEENEXT, and Accel, to support its international expansion efforts.   Haber plans to use the capital primarily to scale its operations internationally, with a particular focus on the Americas, where demand for AI-driven industrial automation solutions is rising rapidly.
