🎇 Search, Steal and Scale ! Just Copy and Distribute faster ! 🚀 Today, I'd argue Google is at the centre of tech but the tale of its rise to dominance in the smartphone market begins with a brazen act of idea theft. In a stroke of strategic genius, Google shamelessly replicated Apple's iOS model with Android, only to then make it open source—a move that would ultimately reshape the landscape of mobile technology. 🎑 Innovation has long been hailed as the cornerstone of success in the business world, innovation is nothing a new but combination of other people’s ideas. Yet, lurking beneath the surface of every groundbreaking idea lies a trail of inspiration, borrowed concepts, and yes, even outright theft. 🏆 This article on reubenmars@substack.com drills into the shadowy realm of idea theft, exploring how companies across the globe have shamelessly pilfered innovations to make billions, legally and sometimes illegally. ⚽ https://lnkd.in/eCXPkcGg

🚀 I almost made something similar to Google? Now that I have your attention, Picture this: You're in the shower, and suddenly, BAM! 💡 The most revolutionary app idea hits you. You rush out, barely remembering to dry off, and furiously Google your concept. ...Only to find it already exists. 😅 Deflated, you toss the idea aside. "What's the point?" you think. "It's already been done." But hold up! 🛑 Here's a plot twist for you: Some of the most successful products weren't first to market. They were just better. Remember Friendster? MySpace? They were social networks before Facebook. But Zuckerberg and team didn't say, "Oh well, social networks exist. Let's go home." They built something better. Google wasn't the first search engine. It was just far superior to AltaVista and Yahoo. The iPhone wasn't the first smartphone. It just revolutionised the concept. The lesson? Don't abandon your idea just because it exists. Ask yourself: - How can I make it better? - What unique perspective can I bring? - What pain points are still unsolved? Innovation isn't always about being first. It's about being better, more user-friendly, or solving a problem in a new way. So next time you have that shower epiphany, don't let existing products deter you. Your unique approach might just be the next big thing! What ideas have you shelved that deserve a second look? Share below! 👇

🚨💻 **Breaking News: Google Ruled as a Monopoly by U.S. Federal Judge** 🚨 In a landmark decision, Google has been ruled as a monopoly, controlling nearly 90% of the digital search market and an astounding 95% share on smartphones. I have a feeling this ruling could have far-reaching implications, potentially reshaping the tech landscape. While it's unlikely that Google will be forced to give up its search business, responsible for nearly $43 billion in revenue, the company may face significant restrictions. One major possibility is that they could be ordered to stop paying companies like Apple and Samsung to be the default search engine on their browsers, a move that could disrupt their stronghold on the market. **Key Takeaways:**🙌🏽 - **Increased Competition**: This ruling could usher in a new era of competition within the tech industry, as the U.S. government is also targeting other tech giants like Apple, Meta, and Amazon with similar lawsuits. - **Industry Impact**: The decision underscores the growing scrutiny of big tech, signaling a potential shift towards a more competitive and less concentrated market environment. The months ahead could be pivotal for the tech industry as we watch how these developments unfold. Will this be the catalyst for a more level playing field in digital markets? Only time will tell.

Hello, government? Where is our protection? Just like inside healthcare, outside of it we need protection from monopolies and oligopolies... correct me if I'm wrong but there are basically only TWO phone operating systems ... Apples iOS and Googles Android ... is it in the people's best interest to have them partner? nearly guaranteeing they won't compete against each other? Creating a new phone and a new OS would be amazingly easy for any massive company like Microsoft, Tesla, Amazon, Facebook, etc. and in fact they could provide enhanced features if they built their own phones from the ground up ... so why don't we have these? A couple tried 20 years ago ... but it's way easier today ... would it be shocking to know they have work together in some way shape or form them stops them from competing??? How do we stop healthcare from following this path it is already on?

"A potential #remedy for #Google to avoid #antitrust actions could involve terminating the #agreement, which makes its #search #engine a default on #Apple devices, Wall Street analysts said on Tuesday. Google pays Apple $20 billion annually, or about 36% of what it earns from search advertising made through the #Safari #browser, for the privilege, according to Morgan Stanley analysts. If the deal is undone, the iPhone maker could take a 4-6% hit to its profit, the analysts estimated." #competition #competitionlaw #technology #bigtech #monopoly #dominance #digitaleconomy #onlineplatforms #artificialintelligence #AI #ChatGPT #Gemini
