Good work, David Riedman. It shouldn't take a year to get this data. Here is the question for everyone here: Is there an "acceptable" response time that should denote a proper response? I have been in plenty of meetings with law enforcement officers who tell school employees, "We will be here in two minutes or less." That makes people feel better, but is it realistic? The response clock generally doesn't start until someone calls 911. The call is taken in and then dispatched. Is there a metric that can be applied to determine "right or wrong" response time and mitigation time? Six minutes of clearing every room to locate a shooter who is shooting doesn't seem ridiculous, so is six minutes to arrive on the scene?
