Every time I speak to a non-technical person about AI they discuss whether AI will replace software engineers, but no VP of engineering I have spoken to thinks that AI will replace software engineers, but instead debates how much the job of a software engineer will change over the coming years, is comfortable with the changes, and mostly look forward to it. Its really hard to articulate how different these two ways of thinking are. If anyone has found a way to explain this to someone who doesn't code, I'd love to hear it!
