It’s all too easy to go for quick wins instead of tackling harder tasks, and this is no less true when it comes to employee wellbeing. Talking with Lucile Allen-Paisant last night, she used a nice analogy; “through wellbeing interventions we take fish out of dirty water, scrub them so they’re clean and refreshed, and then put them back into dirty water”. This reflection is a powerful and insightful one. I like it a lot. Culture is the one thing that can build joyful workplaces and improve the wellbeing of many, and it isn't going to be improved through apps alone, regardless of what the industry tells you. #JoyfulWorkplaces #HR #EmployeeWellbeing

5mo👏 In my experience, some of the best outcomes in employee wellbeing come from free actions. For instance, giving people your time, actively listening, and showing empathy and compassion don’t cost a thing. Companies need to stop over complicating things and using budget constraints as an excuse because sometimes the best results come from actions with the cheapest price tags!
