Dear Supporters, At Revise Zone , our mission has always been clear: to provide high-quality educational resources to students regardless of their financial circumstances. For the past four years, we've operated at a loss, driven by our commitment to making education accessible to all. With over 30,000 students relying on our platform each month, we've seen firsthand the impact of our work. Especially during these challenging times with COVID-19, many students are facing unprecedented obstacles in their education journey. That's why we refuse to let financial barriers stand in the way of their learning. Revise zone isn't just another online platform—it's a lifeline for students seeking knowledge and support. Our study materials and notes are meticulously crafted to be easy to understand, ensuring that every student can excel academically. But we can't do this alone. Despite our dedication, sustaining a free platform requires resources. That's why we're turning to you, our community, for support. By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you're not just investing in a website—you're investing in the future of thousands of students. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to our goal of keeping Revise zone running and helping students thrive. Together, let's empower the next generation and ensure that education remains a right, not a privilege. If we don't reach the goal by the end of July, we will unfortunately discontinue the services but if we do, we will put that money into growing our services and providing more free educational materials for students Thank you for believing in our mission and standing with us in this crucial endeavor. https://gofund.me/e486ba30

👨🏫📋🏫🎒 1. **Independently Managed**: Charter schools are publicly funded but operate independently of the traditional public school system. They are often governed by nonprofit organizations, community groups, or for-profit entities, under a charter or contract with a sponsoring authority, such as a school district, university, or state education agency. 2. **Flexibility**: Charter schools have more flexibility than traditional public schools in terms of curriculum, hiring practices, budget management, and instructional methods. This flexibility allows them to innovate and tailor their educational programs to meet the specific needs of their students. 3. **Autonomy**: Charter schools have autonomy in decision-making, allowing them to implement unique educational approaches and programs. This autonomy is intended to encourage experimentation and innovation in education. 4. **Accountability**: While charter schools have autonomy, they are also held accountable for their performance. They must meet academic and operational standards outlined in their charter agreements, and they can be closed if they fail to meet these standards. 5. **School Choice**: Charter schools offer parents and students an alternative to traditional public schools, providing greater choice in education. Families may choose charter schools based on factors such as academic focus, teaching philosophy, or extracurricular offerings. 6. **Public Funding**: Charter schools receive public funding, typically based on student enrollment, similar to traditional public schools. However, they may also seek additional funding through grants, donations, or partnerships with private organizations. 7. **Open Enrollment**: In many cases, charter schools are open to all students regardless of their neighborhood or district boundaries. They often use a lottery system to admit students if there are more applicants than available spots. #talentserve TalentServe #charterschools

It's back-to-school time in our house, a mix of emotions. At work, we've got a new project that has all the upsides - new learning, new ways of thinking. Unite Foundation is working with our long-term partner and champion, Unite Students, and with think tank Social Market Foundation to dig deeper into understanding estranged and care experienced students’ experiences of access, progression and success at university. Unite Foundation's work is driven by the fact that only 14% of care-experienced young people are in higher education at age 19, compared to 47% of the general population. Estranged students face similar challenges to care leavers but with less support available to them. We have over a decade of evidence that confirms if these young people are guaranteed safe, secure accommodation at university - something parents often help pay for and arrange - they’re as likely as any other student to complete their degree and with a good grade. Working with Unite Students and our university partners we ensure Unite Foundation students who don’t have ‘parent privilege’ (as Unite Foundation graduate Paige Mackenzie BA (Hons) perfectly puts it) are fully supported in terms of their housing needs - and it works. We want this to happen for more care experienced and estranged young people, and in more areas of their lives. Aveek Bhattacharya and Dani Payne at the Social Market Foundation are compiling existing evidence and insight from academia and civil society, to consider what further actions are needed and what could easily happen right now with the energy and commitment of the new Labour government. How can universities, local authorities, the government and other stakeholders better ‘parent’ and support care-experienced and estranged young people in accessing, staying in, and thriving at university? Back-to-school also means many young people around the country are preparing to start university and every new student joining the Unite Foundation scholarship is gifted £200 to spend on what they choose to make their house a home. Bedding, kettles, blankets, storage. We are fundraising now, and you can have the privilege of being the ‘parent privilege’ for a care experienced or estranged student starting at university in the next few weeks. Find out more and donate whatever you can here https://lnkd.in/evStA8Pg or text KITOUT to 70580 to donate £10.

Second Grade Teacher at SJUSD | Strong believer in equitable education, differentiated learning and social-emotional learning in order to give students the best opportunities for success.
Hello all! My donors choose is SO close to being funded! Please consider checking out my project and donating to support me and my students!! About my project: My students have been learning the difference between wants and needs, tools and toys and equitable vs equal. We did an entire lesson called the "Band Aid Lesson" with the main focus being that not everyone needs something, it may just be a want. By learning this, the students have learned to respect one another and everyone's differences. It is important to continue this project with my students because everyone's brains learn differently and they need to be able to understand and learn how to support one another. My students are going to learn to stand up for others who learn differently than them, as well as being able to grow socially and emotionally. With the help of the iPad and display stands, I will be able to lead small groups and show them social emotional learning books during guided reading, as well as displaying SEL books in the classroom. The different types of fidget toys, wobble cushions, and sensory items are going to show the students that not all fidgets work the same for everyone. Some people enjoy clicking noises, some people enjoy popping noises and some enjoy the sensation of squeezing a stress ball. All of these tools are going to ensure that my students are successful at learning the different ways people calm their bodies as well as their minds.

Access to quality resources is fundamental in shaping a child's education, as it equips them with the tools needed for lifelong learning and success. Im in. Are you?
Hi everyone, I rarely use this platform for personal requests, but as many of you know, the education sector is often underfunded. It is one of the pillars of our company to continue investing in it. My wife is a teacher, and she needs supplies for her upcoming school year. If you can find it in your heart to help, she (and I) would greatly appreciate it. Here is the link to her project: https://lnkd.in/eDr3Yeih Thank you for your support!

📚 EDUCATION ALERT! 📚 It is the goal of the MCCC Foundation to "close the gap" in available funds for students and make education affordable and accessible for everyone! The "gap" for a college student is defined as the amount of money a student still needs to fund their direct and indirect educational expenses after they have exhausted all personal funds, scholarships, and financial aid. This amount can sometimes mean the difference between deferring their education or graduating. The most immediate challenges students face involve tuition assistance, quality of life issues including food and housing insecurity, transportation, technology needs, and additional expenses associated with certain programs Studies have shown that students who defer their education often never return to complete their degrees, leading to lifelong economic ramifications. This is why we budget almost $1 million annually, so all of our students can achieve their educational and career goals without any financial hurdles. Every donation, no matter the amount, is needed and appreciated! www.mccc.edu/give #SupportEducation #CloseTheGap #MCCC #EveryDonationCounts #AffordableEducation 💸🎓👩🎓👨🎓

Question: "Why do some universities offer elective courses called SOPHIA where completing them doesn't affect a student's GPA, only their overall credits? This seems unfair and like a money-making scheme for schools that are supposed to be nonprofit. The U.S. Department of Education may need to investigate #colleges like Capella University et al who engage in such practices. #collegesanduniversities should rethink their policies on grading for courses that require the same effort and learning, regardless of whether they're paid or free." https://lnkd.in/eJDMaYUq

Fostering Early Literacy: A Kindergarten Book Sponsorship Initiative As educators, we understand the profound impact of early literacy on a child's future success. That's why I've launched a classroom initiative to provide each of my kindergarten students with a new book every month, helping them build their personal libraries and instilling a love for reading. The Challenge: With rising book costs, I'm seeking community support to ensure every child in my classroom gets a book of their very own each month of the school year. I still have 17 students in need of sponsorship. How You Can Contribute: • Provide any amount to support our literacy fund (Venmo- @Amberlyn-Warford or CashApp- $AmberlynWarford) • Sponsor a child for the year (10 books) for $50 • Donate books from our curated wishlist: https://a.co/0ZmVHkT Your investment in these young minds goes beyond just books—it's an investment in their future academic success and lifelong learning. Are you or your organization interested in supporting early literacy? I'd be glad to discuss how we can collaborate to make a lasting impact on these young learners. Let's connect and create a brighter, more literate future together. #EarlyLiteracy #EducationInitiative #CommunityEngagement #InvestInEducation

Thank you, Brandon Busteed, for this clear headed explanation of the complicated convergence of for-profit and nonprofit models in higher education. Indeed, as university executives and head football coaches are richly remunerated at expensive nonprofit institutions, the commitment of these schools to the public good and student outcomes rightly comes under scrutiny. You correctly emphasize that innovations from the for-profit sector, accessible online learning and flexible transfer pathways, have helped the most marginalized learners finish their degrees. While it’s easy to project moral values onto for-profit and nonprofit statuses, the distinction doesn’t always hold up under careful examination. “Why We Need To Embrace A New View Of Tax Status In Education“ https://lnkd.in/gixASjjV
