Today was a great day in the Granite state of New Hampshire! Revive Environmental partnered with state officials to staff one of ten AFFF state take back events in the month of August 2024…this one at the Concord, NH fire training facility. Our logistics partners, Republic Services and NorthEast Purification Systems (NEPS) helped us collect and inventory PFAS containing AFFF from around the area. We collected ~3,000 gallons today, with a state target of 10,000 total gallons for the state funded take back program. My gratitude goes to Director Mike Winsatt and his team’s leadership in executing a program that was legislated in 2019, culminating in this month’s take back and destruction campaign. The state waited until they had a disposal method that delivered documented, repeatable PFAS destruction at scale and at competitive economics. Revive Environmental and our partners are excited to be apart of a program that restores water, eliminates a harmful chemical contaminant with batch by batch confirmation, and keeps our first responders safe in their mission to protect human health and property. Today’s record was a fire station that waited over 25 years to send their AFFF foam back. They knew it was harmful, and until a few years ago they did not have a working replacement OR a way to completely eliminate the harmful PFAS compound. Now they have both, in a state using policy and finances to put people and environmental responsibility first! Many NH state Representatives and Senators were in attendance today. Thank you and the state for your confidence in us. Your material is in good hands. A little humor: Check out the picture of literal granite paper weights being used for the fliers for the media. Love that New Hampshire granite being put to use in the Granite state! #ConfidentResponsibityInAction #MakingPFASHistory #Leadership #FirstResponders #TotalPFASElimination #ClosedLoopSolutions

It sounds like it was an impactful and successful day in New Hampshire! It's inspiring to see such strong collaboration between state officials, environmental partners, and local fire stations to tackle the challenge of safely disposing of harmful PFAS compounds.
