Series 1: PCR/qPCR essentials (#4) When we talk about PCR, it's important to consider pipette tips—they're essential in every research or experiment. Choosing the right one involves factors like material, size, and sterility, all crucial for achieving good results. Extended tips come in handy for deep or narrow containers, graduated ones have handy measurement marks, and gel-loading tips are tapered for precise sample placement on electrophoresis gels. There is also low retention tips which can help with limited sample sizes or when using expensive reagents. It is very important to know which works best for your research/experiment before selecting one.
