What I learned: ✅Find your passion ✅Surround yourself with the right people ✅Have integrity ✅Think long-term but stay tuned to shifts in the market ✅Keep learning ✅Be open to change yourself After leaving IHG Hotels & Resorts (thanks for a wonderful journey!), we started SolutionsHI - Hotel & Resort Consultancy and soon fully focused to consult unbranded/boutique properties – now running 20years 😊 Being so different those days also led us to create our very own boutique project in Madrid – We wanted to make sure we understand the pain & glory of boutique hotels first hand. Signing the project just before the banking crisis 2008, uff – it now also survived the pandemic, and we are up and running in our 14th year 😊 Of course, we also had adventures that went wrong. Bad calculations, wrong partners, bad timing. Closing some ideas was part of the journey. It´s not all sunshine, but the knowledge grew…. And the gut feeling as well. The intuition. For projects, people and values. Focus on impact projects. Collaborate with value-minded people.   The further I went - the better and clearer the focus. With this experience the latest project with Singular Places feels like a culmination of experience, love, contacts, desire for impact, market feeling, personal beliefs, and friends to help & push us forward.
