MittLogik Group and partners awarded research grant by Vinnova! MittLogik and its R&D team is pleased to announce that a research grant has been awarded by Vinnova (Sweden's innovation agency) for a prestudy proposal in the area of Road Safety. MittLogik will partner with Sigma Technology Embedded Network and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden for the execution of the prestudy. Our R&D team has been hard at work on various innovative ideas for traffic safety. A focus of our team has been on IoT solutions to help improve traffic safety, aligning with the Vision Zero initiative to eliminate traffic fatalities and severe injuries. This prestudy proposal ‘Safer Crossways using I2V’ is an offshoot of the ideas the team has been exploring in enhancing communication between road side infrastructure and vehicles. The grant is provided under Vinnova’s program FFI Traffic Safe-automation, within Vehicle strategic research and Innovation (FFI). It is a collaborative program between the Swedish state and the automotive industry that since 2009 finances research and innovation in road transport. NextETRUCK is spearheading the journey towards zero-emission logistics, offering efficient, affordable, and competitive solutions for the transport industry. With our expertise in ITS and connected IoT services, Datik is at the forefront, contributing to holistic and synergetic ecosystems for zero-emission vehicles. This week, the consortium - representing eight countries - met in #Brussels to discuss the latest project results and outline the next steps. The project, running until December 2025, aims to showcase real-case demonstrations in Istanbul, Barcelona, and Utrecht, promising at least a 10% increase in energy efficiency over current benchmarks.
