"AT&T’s HR team was critical in helping write its AI policy and AI guiding principles documents. These documents explain to AT&T employees how to ethically and securely use generative AI. That’s paired with HR teams creating educational videos and other materials to train employees on specific uses for generative AI that are relevant to their jobs. There’s still a belief among many people that GenAI is only for technical roles, and that’s just not so. It’s for everyone.” https://lnkd.in/g7KbhWbz #humanresources #artificialintelligence #generativeai #learninganddevelopment #technology

I’ve seen this article shared a few times, and it’s reminded me of something that was happening long before generative AI became mainstream. Anytime new software or tech of any kind surfaces in the workplace, people want to use it in ways they believe will help them do their jobs more effectively. This natural curiosity is a good thing — and it can be used to benefit everyone. By engaging diverse stakeholders within our own organizations, we can manage the risk of AI while finding ways to use it most effectively. Just as important, we can remind our people that we care about their experiences, goals and workloads, and we want to help them perform at the highest level possible. The insights you receive from your people can be used to build your AI framework, and if your people are already using AI without an official framework in place, it’s not time to panic. It’s time to talk about how this tool can be used for maximum impact. Andrea Schulz Grant Thornton LLP (US) #accountingandaccountants #ai Link to use for post: https://lnkd.in/gawdPs-X
