Good Moonday morning to you! 💖 Today we're taking a #MindfulMoment to thank yOUR new followers to Blackbird Global! Our mission is to invite you to implement #SustainabilityInReality. yOUR mission is to invite people to make changes in their lives that can have an impact on generations to come. The #17UNSDG are about more than just developing a world where we have clean drinking water - it's about ensuring that businesses have resources for the future, it's about making sure land is usable for farming, it's about saving an individual money on electricity, it's about making sure girls can get to school and back safely, it's about finding breast cancer in countries that have not had the resources to do it, and it's about a million other things that happen every day. All we ask is that you find one thing that you're interested in and look into seeing if it's feasible to you, and then take that first step. Most individuals will never have the opportunity to impact everyone in the world. But almost all individuals can impact someone in their neighborhood. Today, you have made a step, and that step is to "find out more." Tomorrow, maybe you take another step, but also, maybe tomorrow you don't. But either way, yOUR mission is now to be educated about things you might do.

Communications and Partnerships Manager 🏭Make Money from Your Waste 🚮 Helping manufacturers reduce costs & environmental impact ♻️Total Waste Management - The Sunday Times 'Best Places to Work' 2024
What a year! I've learned to embrace change without fear and finally accepted that things happen for a reason, even if it's a cliché we love to hate! A huge thank you to all my old and new friends who encouraged me all the way. The last three months with Axil Integrated Services ♻️ have been incredible and I've met so many great people. I’ve rummaged my way through the contents of huge bins, been dragged away from a chocolate conveyor belt before I ate it all and had the privilege of being shown top secret research and development that will change the world. I've witnessed Axil's positivity, the desire to stand out and where openness isn't just an office concept, it's real. We don't just talk about environmental performance; we're rolling up our sleeves, working with clients to make a real impact. In a world drowning in waste, we see opportunities – turning waste into money, creating new products, and making a difference for those less fortunate. https://lnkd.in/eSX89gZD And speaking of impact – my daughter is becoming a little eco-warrior, reminding me daily that the next generation has its eyes on us! Just need to figure out how to eco-wrap presents......haven't bought any yet - problem solved! Look out for what's in store at Axil next year. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and see you in 2024 🌿🎁 #newyear2024 #changethestory #sustainability #safetyfirst #circulareconomy #celebrate #christmas Faye Perkins CMktr Jemma Copeland Lauren Riley and many more

The basis to human longevity - [1] Eliminate premature ageing with protein x carbohydrate -> butyrate x 3hydroxybutyrate appetite change [2] Increase aerobic fitness with exercise generally, HIIT mainly [3] Achieve wisdom from understanding that reality is based on 1 progression - -/ -/\ -< -- [4] Open your eyes and live (longevity is a multiple integral of time) which solves to personal quality - one's own quality determines longevity. -*- So - decrease premature ageing and then increase human longevity - 2 component model. In effect the easy part is metabolic change [described here - https://lnkd.in/gHF-Hr4c] - the harder part is wisdom acquisition - and the final part is exploration which increases one's own information content - one's own intrinsic quality. One need change to gain time.

Reflecting on UCB’s Journey at #ChangeNOW2024 Last week’s participation in ChangeNOW was nothing short of inspiring. Our mission at UCB during the event: expand our horizons, learn from exchanges, connect with innovators committed to a just transition. 🤝 🌍 A contingent of UCB team members embarked on a learning expedition, exploring startups engaged in groundbreaking work. UCB supported a health pitch session, showcasing twelve startups to potential collaborators. Moreover, UCB CEO Jean-Christophe Tellier contributed to the 1st session on "Health for all". Our takeaways from ChangeNOW are being woven into UCB’s fabric, as our culture and leadership team will foster dialogue sessions between colleagues present at ChangeNOW and our executive leaders. These exchanges are fully integrated in our transformative journey 🚀. 💡 A few of my personal food for thought from the summit: 🌟 Both individual accountability and change in organizations are needed to drive a fair transition: 🔹 Vandana shiva’s call for “creative disobedience” in her stimulating keynote resonated deeply. Her message, “we need custodians everywhere,” echoes our experience at UCB. Change is accelerated by trailblazing leaders who are catalysts for change. 🔹 A genuine conversation between Antoine Clement, Tessa Wernick, and Marie-Christine Pires highlighted the influence of employee activism within companies. While powerful, impact is even higher if it doesn’t remain a pro bono additional activity on the side of one’s primary role. Driving social and environmental change should be integral to job titles, job descriptions and corporate goals. 🌟 “One planet, One health” The intersection of social and environmental imperatives was a recurring theme during the “Health for all” session: 🔹Maria Neira’s insights on health and pollution emphasized the need for individual and systemic actions. 🔹 Michelle Mitchell OBE, Alexandra Heumber Perry, Jean-Christophe Tellier, and Devika Gopal Agge discussed health disparities as the results of a complex web of social and economic inequities exacerbated by the climate crisis. As highlighted by JC Tellier, companies in the healthcare industry have a social responsibility to contribute to reduce these disparities while reducing their environmental footprint. 🔹 Nicole Redvers' compelling perspective on the synergy between the health of indigenous populations and planetary health and the pressing need for indigenous populations to be heard provided a powerful conclusion to the first-ever health session at ChangeNOW. This is only a short snapshot of what happened at #ChangeNOW2024 and I come back with fresh perspectives to continue engaging our UCB community towards a just transition. #teamucb #ChangeNOW2024 #sustainability Charline Desmecht Fabienne Delaplace-Lavoix Philippe Henrotaux Linda Zaccaria

Sometimes a small step turns out to be a huge leap. Last week, the regenerative agriculture movement took one of those small-but-huge steps. If regen is going to successfully scale, the movement's leaders will need to collaborate like never before. At Newtopia Now in Denver, the team at New Hope Network cultivated collaboration by curating intimate spaces for the regen movement to gather. One of those spaces was a dinner with a few dozen passionate leaders in the regen movement -- and I could literally see the seeds of collaboration germinating in real time. A huge thank you to Jenna Fitch and Nancy Coulter-Parker for holding that space 🎉 ! It was beautifully and thoughtfully done. And I want to acknowledge the strategic leadership that happened behind scenes at New Hope Network, spearheaded by its outgoing leader Carlotta Mast, who had the vision over a year ago to embed regenerative into the DNA of Newtopia Now. I had a front row seat as that vision took shape -- one of those small steps that will become a huge leap, in part because of Carlotta's effort. Thank you! Let's continue the collaboration, Courtney Pineau Elizabeth Whitlow Kristine Root Elizabeth Candelario Anthony Corsaro (AC) Kristie Cerutti Tim Richards 🦠⚡️🥜 Colleen Kavanagh Emily Griffith Benina Burroughs Montes Kyle Koehler Finian Makepeace Michael Wenrick Zachariah Ben...and everyone else that I didn't get the chance to meet. #regenerativeagriculture #regenerative #climate
