📝 In our latest blog post, the final entry in this four-part series, Picker's Group CEO, Chris Graham, explores the NHS 10-year plan and its potential to revolutionise patient care through personalised care plans. 🟣 This blog highlights how enabling patients to self-manage their conditions while they wait can significantly improve their experiences and reduce anxiety. 🔵 We discover how personalised care and support planning (PCSP) can transform healthcare by focusing on what matters most to patients, and how expanding education and peer support can enhance quality of life and reduce healthcare demands. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eb9_RY67 #PersonalisedCare #PatientEmpowerment #SelfManagement #NHS #PersonCentredCare #PickerInsights

Information gaps in England's independent healthcare sector We discuss the challenges and importance of aligning data collection between the NHS and the independent healthcare sector in England. Currently, there is a lack of comprehensive data on workforce, capacity, prices, and patient outcomes in the independent sector, hindering effective planning and monitoring. It is no longer acceptable for data collection requirements to differ so markedly between the NHS and the independent healthcare sector. Harmonising data collection would enable better workforce planning, fair competition, and improved patient safety. The government has the authority to mandate data collection, and steps should be taken to integrate data systems between the NHS and independent providers to create comprehensive databases for better healthcare planning and monitoring. @Michael Anderson @Sabrina Wimmer

Digital Transformation, Digital Healthcare, EMIS Web/S1 Consultant/Digital Healthcare tools & systems
Why have NHS England GP Connect suddenly decided the enablement of private care providers is currently out of scope and removed ‘private providers’ from the ‘Examples of organisations that may wish to use GP Connect capabilities’ list? https://lnkd.in/gQcQcDWx - I'm working with large independent GP practices that have invested in EMIS and Ardens to improve the safety of their patients. GP Connect is essential for keeping their members safe by enabling them to view their GP record as well as sharing clinical information back to their NHS GP to ensure a single, safe healthcare record. #gpconnect #nhse #primarycare #joinedupcare

This underscores our commitment to providing timely and comprehensive care to our patients. These numbers reflect not just numbers on a chart but our dedication to efficient healthcare delivery. It's a testament to the hard work of our staff and the effectiveness of First Contact Practitioners. What is the vision for primary care provider collaboratives in the NHS? In this clip, Richard Smale (Interim Director of System Co-ordination, NHS England – South West) explains that we can't focus on structural changes without first asking what difference this will make for patients. Does your proposition support the move towards provider collaboratives? Can you help provider collaboratives drive efficiency? More importantly, can your product help improve the pathway and patient outcomes? This clip was taken from our webinar: 'How does funding flow in NHSE Regions?'. This is what GP Connect HTML view looks like in EMISWeb. To test, I use a Spine Dummy Patient (provided by NHSE) that's registered at a GP Practice (and is also on the NHS Spine) and open in EMIS Web Clinical Services (i.e. what a PCN/Private Practice use) that has GP Connect enabled. Spine Dummy Patients are great for testing clinical systems with the NHS Spine. The user must also have a Smartcard Profile for the instance of EMIS you are using (on the same National Code/ODS) - https://lnkd.in/dWGTUEHB

Common sense has prevailed - NHSE have re-added Private Providers to the GP Connect National Data Sharing Agreement - https://lnkd.in/eDzNjQ6Y. This empowers Private Providers using clinical system such as EMIS Web to view a patients GP record. GP Connect is essential for Private Practices keeping their members safe by enabling them to view their GP record as well as sharing clinical information back to their NHS GP to ensure a single, safe healthcare record. #gpconnect #digitalhealthcare #privatepractice

Exciting news in primary care! One of our partner practices alone has seen a clinical coding time saving of over 5,000 minutes just on new patient registrations with PACO auto coding. This has been achieved by consistently inputting key information from over 400 patients. It's great to see that when digital is applied correctly, it can have a positive impact on the NHS. Additionally, over 1900 appointments were self-booked by patients, saving a further 150 hours. These statistics are proof that digital tools can revolutionize healthcare and improve patient care. #DigitalHealth #PrimaryCare #NHS #digitalhealthcare #patientexperience Blinx Healthcare DigitalHealth.London
