Capacity Expansion – Advancing Farming Productivity and Optimizing CAN Screening Calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) is a common nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. One more time, our customer asked for RHEWUM’s Technology to expand their capacity due to the demanding screening properties of CAN. The customer duplicated the existing screening line to increase capacity and improve availability. The new screens were modified in collaboration with the customer to achieve optimal adaptation and a throughput of up to 350 t/h. The system is built in two stages: RHEduo coarse screens with downstream RHEflex (cut size 5.0 mm) in the first stage, and RHEsono fine screens (cut size 3.2 mm) in the second stage for dust removal. Special designs have been used due to the abrasive and corrosive characteristics of CAN. Adjustable control flaps in RHEsono screening machines allow flexible fraction dosing, while integrated limit switches automate monitoring and control. Through customized adaptation and a complete package, RHEWUM successfully delivered the screening system for this project.
