We don’t know our customers enough 😱 Recently, I listened to Jay Baer on the The Marketing Millennials podcast and two key points really stuck out to me; 🎯 Do you really know your customers? To gain valuable insights, we need to step out of our offices, meet with customers, and observe them in their natural setting. True understanding comes from witnessing customers as they buy and use our products. It's not just about gathering insights; it's about observing real-life experiences. 🎯 Relevancy is Key: Do you really think that your customers don't have time for your marketing? Well, think again. Jay suggests that being relevant creates time and attention. If your marketing isn't working as expected, the main problem is often a lack of relevance. Sending out broad, generic messages won't do the trick. The way to solve this is by making your marketing specific to your target customer 💁♀️ What are your thoughts on these points? Where it often goes wrong. We think we know them because we look at numbers. We look too little at the things we can't see.

It’s time to use our expertise to meet customers where they want to be met…even if they couldn’t tell you where that is! Looking forward to having some insightful chats with you about this in the future 🕵🏼♀️

Love this post rhi. Massive food for thought! If I had a £1 for every time I’ve been marketed too regarding something that doesn’t interest me… In the restaurant game, SEVENROOMS’s new email marketing functionality allows the operator to use tags based on how customers have dined (drank champagne, are vegetarian) to help make their marketing strategies matter!
