Mark Clauson has officially completed his first marathon, and we couldn’t be more proud to have him on the Rhino Tool House team. As he shared, with the right prep and the right mindset, you can take on any challenge—whether it’s a race or a big project. Congrats, Mark, and make sure to enjoy some well-deserved rest.
First marathon in the books! This has been on my bucket list since high school track, but apparently I was waiting to make sure this little guy was able to come watch me. I learned a lot during the training and the race itself. The biggest takeaway at the moment is "Ouch!", but this also served as a very good reminder that with the right preparation and mindset, you'll walk into race day (whatever your race day might be) feeling confident in your abilities and free of doubt. This will not be my last marathon, but I'm excited to take it easy for a little while!

Giving back and gaining perspective. Amy Denes, one our top-tier sales engineers out of Kentucky, volunteered her valuable time to feed the hungry at Louisville’s Franciscan Kitchen. This incredible organization provides meals for those in need, Monday through Saturday, all year round. During this particular visit, Amy helped prep and serve an amazing 532 meals—a powerful reminder of the impact a few dedicated hands can make. The relatively small staff along with the volunteers worked tirelessly, showing how collaboration and compassion can go a long way in supporting the community. With Louisville’s homeless population increasing by more than 40% over the past three years (according to a report from the Coalition for the Homeless), their work is more vital than ever. Amy, like so many of the Rhino Tool House team in their own regions, was grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause and to give back to a community that means so much to her. Thank you to the Franciscan Kitchen for the inspiring work you do every day. 💛 To learn more, check out the link in the comments. #manufacturing #communityservice #givingback #assembly #community

At RE+, North America’s largest clean energy event, we had a blast connecting with solar EPCs to discuss the challenges and opportunities they face every day. From crucial tool applications to service needs, we’re focused on how we can make their jobs easier and more efficient. Our team member, Mike Phillips, even took on a mechanical bull to show how we’re not afraid to grab the bull by the horns! And just like that ride, we’re ready to hang on tight and guide our partners toward success. With Rhino Tool House, you get fast lead times, comprehensive service, and expert guidance to overcome process and quality hurdles. It’s all about supporting our customers with the tools and knowledge they need to push their projects forward. Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year! #manufacturing #solar #assembly #innovation #rhinotoolhouse

We REALLY put our interns to work. One of our seven summer interns, Soren Burkholder, a Mechanical Engineering student at Valparaiso University, actually drove over 2500 miles throughout the Midwest to visit customers and present demos on new assembly technology. Along the way, he mastered ProGlove and Doosan Robotics demos among others, adding some serious tech skills to his own toolbox. Serving as an added resource to the extremely busy Rhino sales engineers, he shared emerging technology with eager-to-learn assembly-plant personnel. Reflecting on his experience, Soren shared, “I’ve learned just how diverse the industry is and how much goes into a manufacturing process.” We’re grateful for all of Soren’s hard work and dedication. Best of luck this semester, Soren—we know you’ll crush it! #manufacturing #internship #assembly #technology #engineering #robotics

Are forklifts going the way of the dinosaur? The pressure is on to find alternative material-handling solutions beyond traditional combustion-powered forklifts. However, a recent survey by Hyster Company reveals that only 17% of companies have fully electrified their powered industrial truck (PIT) fleets. Why the slow adoption, despite the clear sustainability and safety benefits? There seems to be several key barriers: - A perception of higher upfront equipment costs - Concerns about facility infrastructure and utility grid constraints - A lack of understanding around alternative technology options However, the companies that have made the switch cite important drivers like: - A lower total cost of ownership, - Improved employee health/safety - Alignment with corporate sustainability initiatives. Sustainable material handling is crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across supply chains. It’s truly just a matter of time the forklift and other combustion-driven material handling will become extinct forever. As a provider of advanced alternative material handling technologies, we're committed to being a trusted partner in this transition. Reach out to learn how we can help you craft a holistic strategy that delivers both sustainability and business benefits. #sustainability #leanmanufacturing #rhinotoolhouse #manufacturing
