Dismantling systemic barriers is at the core of our work. We're committed to breaking down the structures that perpetuate the message of unworthiness among marginalized communities. Our efforts focus on policy advocacy, community engagement, and education. We believe that change starts with addressing the root causes of inequality and injustice. #DismantleInjustice #EqualityNow #SystemicChange #AdvocateForEquity #BreakTheBarriers

Nonprofit leaders of color are at the forefront of transformative work, creating new opportunities for our families and communities and championing the change needed to create a more equitable society. As an advocate for these leaders, The Moriah Group strives to create healing spaces for them to rest and reinvigorate themselves. We firmly believe that philanthropy should prioritize and support the funding of these healing spaces as part of their commitment to social justice work in our society. #Philanthropy #POC #Nonprofit

I had to put some practices in place in my life that helped create the boundaries that I needed to have my own restoration time. I commit to myself that after a certain time at night, I no longer check my work email. And then I commit to myself that in the morning, I don’t check my work email before my prayer time. I challenge you to ease into your day — take the time to be reflective and grateful first thing in the morning. Remember, taking care of yourself is not selfish. It is essential for personal growth and success in both your business and personal life. #SelfCareAwarenessMonth #SelfCare #BlackCEO #HealthyBoundaries

This week, Goldman Sachs welcomed Alabama’s first statewide cohort of small business owners into the 10,000 Small Businesses Program! As a 2020 alumnus, I spent my day in Birmingham, AL speaking to congressional officials and Goldman Sachs leadership about the needs of small businesses and the value of the 10,000 Small Businesses program. It was truly a game changer for scaling my company. #10ksb #SupportSmallBusiness

The experiences and barriers of all generations, while not identical, are connected and have some common themes and issues. Embracing this is a starting place to build better futures together. Even though August is over, the theme for this year's Black Philanthropy Month, Afro-futurism, is more relevant than ever. It reminds us that to empower communities of color, we must listen to the needs and perspectives of elders AND youth. #MoreThanAMonth #BlackPhilanthropyMonth #BPM2024 #Philanthropy #YPOC #Intergenerational

The power and impact of Black philanthropy is tremendous. I am a proud of what I have been able to contribute as an intermediary funder to strengthen, inspire, and invest in culturally rooted organizations led by people of color. What a blessing to be in a position to provide these services every day! #YouthEmpowerment #Advocacy #SocialJustice #CommunityBuilding #ChangeMakers #Leadership #Equity #YouthDevelopment #Mentorship #VoiceForChange
