📌 Put the #attendees first in #Events. First impressions count, but the last ones last. Are our attendees coming back? 👉 There are always new people coming to our events, maybe impressed by some good[ish] marketing. The question is: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴? ➡ The return-attendee rate is what really counts. ➡ That is the real measure of the value we provide and the impact we create. ➡ Each return is a nod of appreciation, a stamp of approval. 👉 Here is how I use #Excel to check the 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻-𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 (#𝗥𝗔𝗥): 1️⃣ I insert 2 extra columns in my Excel database -> example: • Column J - Previous event attendance (Yes/No) • Column K: 2️⃣ I set up a formula to check if an attendee has participated in past events -> =𝘐𝘍(𝘑2="𝘠𝘦𝘴", "𝘙𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨", "𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵-𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦") 3️⃣ I use Excel to calculate the return rate: • Total attendees: 𝘊𝘖𝘜𝘕𝘛𝘈(𝘑:𝘑) - Count of all attendees. • Returning attendees: 𝘊𝘖𝘜𝘕𝘛𝘐𝘍(𝘒:𝘒, "𝘙𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨") - Count of all returning attendees. • Return Rate Formula: =𝘊𝘖𝘜𝘕𝘛𝘐𝘍(𝘒:𝘒, "𝘙𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨") / 𝘊𝘖𝘜𝘕𝘛𝘈(𝘑:𝘑) 4️⃣ Read all about it here: https://lnkd.in/dna63iv2 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱. Meeting with more and more users every week (yes, I am doing things that don't scale) is so informative. Most users I am talking to say they don't have enough resources or team members to build events with. Most users are saying, their teams were laid off or never hired for so 2 people have to do the work of 10. Most users don't have much support internally to plan successful events.
