This week mainly consists of me finishing off our monthly one-to-ones. I really enjoy doing one-to-ones with the team, as it allows me to stop and truly listen to their thoughts on their goals, the culture of the business and where they'd like to improve. It also gives me an excellent opportunity to feedback on their performance; where they excelled, impressed and shone and also where they could improve ahead of our next meeting. Having these honest discussions where we both listen to each other and understand each other makes a huge difference to team morale. If you aren't listening to your team's needs, there is no way you can have a truly happy workforce.
