It took some time to process everything I witnessed and learnt at #CWNYC. The energy was electric, the urgency unmistakable, and while the path forward has its challenges, I left feeling cautiously optimistic. Corporate engagement in sustainability is no longer just a talking point; it’s action. I saw businesses moving beyond pledges—actively involving employees, customers, and communities in their sustainability journey. This isn’t just about bold promises; it’s about weaving sustainability into the very fabric of strategy and everyday operations. That’s where real change takes shape. Brands are doing more than “checking the box.” They’re exploring how sustainability fuels innovation and growth. From conversations on local actions fostering global impact to hearing about urban resilience strategies, one thing became clear—the momentum is real, but we must be both pragmatic and proactive.
