I am joining the group of people that in the last couple of days wrote their farewell to Dyson as a consequence of the large round of redundancies announced across the UK.
Two years ago, Simon believed in me and I joined an incredible group that was managing the most complex framework I have ever seen, one that stitched together the entire company and governed the entire Product Creation journey, from the inception to launch and then along the entire product lifecycle.
Coming from the Product Management and Strategy in the Telco world, I was sky rocketed into a different industry and to one-in-the-world fully customised product: I could not imagine the incredible and exciting ride that I was going to have. Thanks to a fantastic support from the team, I moved from understanding the framework to building a powerful collaboration with the Commercial & Go-To-Market teams, guaranteeing the Global Program Management team a constant and reliable connection to the PCF team to continuosly improve and show the relevance of Commercial & Go-To-Market group work within the framework. And from there I earned the trust of my group, ending up to be responsible for the medium/long term strategy for the Product Creation Framework
I would like to say thank you to all the people I met and worked with, one by one, but they are too many: I remember all of you!
I want to tribute a special mention to my team: Simon Drew, creator of a stellar team he managed with his democratic leadership style, giving to everyone the possibility to grow and experimenting; Martin Townsend, a bright mind with an encyclopaedic knowledge, my new colleague Elaine Yolande. But also Tom Gibson, Aphrodite Paxinou, Mark Suller, Ally Bryant, Kimberly, Alvin Poh, Andrew Davies and Paul Williams.
Life is going on, and now it's time for a new challenge: I know that behind a difficulty there is always an opportunity.
Most importantly though, I will be spending more quality time with my family, starting from trying to enjoy our deserved holidays.
So today starts a new chapter on the search for a new group of incredible people to join. It's time to also learn new skills and refine some older ones, exciting times ahead.
Therefore I am actively looking to discuss any opportunities ahead for those who are looking to recruit an experienced person with the ability to see the big picture, creating a strategy and transforming it in products and results. I can use my experiences in Product MGMT, Strategy, Business Transformation, Telco and Commercial in the Luxury Audio market. All delivered with my constant commitment to delight the customer with something purposeful.
Please feel free to share, pass on my details and or to reach out directly (I might be not fast as usual because I am abroad at the moment).
Lastly, for those colleagues who were also impacted by the brutal cut, good luck on your next journey. Your talents will generate a great positive impact on many people and companies.
Ad Maiora, semper!
