I'm a big fan of rivers. I like reading about them, studying maps about them and, viola, I like going down them. I also know they tell us how much about journey and arrival, patience and expectation.
"Rivers know this: There is no hurry. We shall get there some day:" A.A. Milne.
I thought about this while attending Intersolar and hearing much optimism and excitement around the energy transition, but also frustration and not just a little fear about headwinds, roadblocks and knuckleheads. I shall write about this soon.
In the meantime, I am proud of the work happening in Microgrid Knowledge to cover this decentralized and #distributedenergyresources part of the Many Paths to #netzero. The contributions of Kathy Hitchens and Lisa Cohn and Breanna Sandridge are paramount to getting the word out.
Just this week, MGK has posted stories on the US Army Corps of Engineers adopting long duration #energystorage #microgrid, the work being done to sustain energy resiliency for the battered residents of #maui , the shift by #industrial firms to #decarbonize warehouse operations via DERs, and both federal and state entities, such as U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) #maryland and #california to advance these causes.
There are so many challenges, but so much progress happening. It truly is a transitionary and visionary time, and we are trying our best to cover it truly and honestly in Microgrid Knowledge. Check us out when you can and join us this April for Microgrid 2024 in #baltimore.
