You may have seen Smurfit Kappa on the news recently, in a very interesting feature about recycling… Richard Morgan from ITV Wales asked the question: “Where does your paper & cardboard recycling go?” In this feature, he tracks down what happens to paper and cardboard that are thrown away. Smurfit Kappa Recycling receives around 14,000 tonnes or 20% of Wales’ paper and cardboard recycling. This then becomes the raw material for our two paper mills in Birmingham and Kent, for use in the manufacturing of cardboard boxes.
