Providing "real world" applicable Construction Quality Control training to QC Managers, General Contractors & Subcontractors
When it comes to the world of Construction Quality Control how a company handles the chain of command can be the difference between a successful QC Program and a Failure........ So many contractors like to have a QC Manager report to the onsite Superintendent or Project Manager. The fatal flaw in this plan is that every team member has different project priorities. These priorities can conflict with your Quality Control Program and take away its power to be effective. A Super for example cares about project schedule and a PM is looking at cost closely. Both of these items can hinder a QC Manager from making the call he or she should make to protect the project and you as the General Contractor. Successful Quality Control Programs have the QC Managers reporting to upper management. Have you ever experienced this issue or seen QC Managers with their hands tied behind their backs due to the chain of command? I'd love to hear about it.

"Quality is a habit and a lifestyle, it is not an act" Through hardwork, dedication, lots of curiosity, continuous improvement, resilience, and meeting a handful of inspiring construction professionals and mentors along this journey that inspire me daily to thrive to be the best at what I do, I find myself in this special position. In a position where years of experience on the field as an project engineer and superintendent coupled with my rigor as a quality control manager is adding value to projects by mitigating risks, getting ahead of potential hiccups in the execution of the construction plan, decreasing non-conformity, avoiding delays, and increasing efficiency in the execution of the construction plan. Many too often, projects struggles with budgets and schedule because they undermine quality. However based on experience, I have observed that focusing on quality will help a project not only increase efficiency but exceeds the clients needs and expectations. Quality is a habit and let's make it a habit to focus on quality and customer satisfaction. #quality #qualitycontrol #qcmanager #qualitymanagement #qualityblog #qms #project #constructionprojects #synergy #pomerleau

Resource management challenges can significantly impact quality control at construction sites. Issues such as availability of qualified personnel, tools, and equipment for inspections and tests can lead to compromises in quality. Time constraints, coordination problems, and the necessity for continuous training and skill development further exacerbate these challenges. Effective resource management is key to upholding consistent quality standards and promptly addressing any non-conformities that may arise.
