CORNER POCKET: As a Director, I've been asked to tell many different stories in many different places in many different ways. A lot of the time making what may seem improbable, a reality. This week, I was tasked to take a few photos in a tight space and make it look like it was done without professional help. Which, counterintuitively, takes a lot more work using specific lighting, strategic composition, and a smattering of specialized tools. Show me an "unpolished" piece of popular marketing content, and I'll show you the half dozen or more people behind the scenes that made it happen. It's not the polish that turns people off to professionally produced content, it's the lack of authenticity, artistry, and connection that people push away. People love to be manipulated; they just don't want to know it's happening. Every movie or TV show you love, every song that touches you, every commercial you laugh at, all set out to make you feel something.. on purpose! Likewise, it's the craft that creates the connection that makes you forget you're an audience and makes you feel like you're the only one being spoken to. When telling a story, whether that story is fiction or sales-based, be sure it is crafted with authenticity, artistry and connection, and people will continue coming back for more. #storytellers #videoproduction #marketingandadvertising

I made a social media video that's slow-paced and has no camera movement. 😱 Here's why it works: Recently, I had the opportunity to work on a project that challenged the norms of modern social media content. The result? A deliberate departure from the fast-paced, flashy videos we often see flooding our feeds. This project, crafted for my good friend Adriano Desiré, is intentionally slow-paced, devoid of camera movements or fancy cuts, with an almost 3-minute runtime. Now, I know what you're thinking – a risky move in the realm of social media, where catching and holding attention is paramount. But here's the twist – this video wasn't designed for the casual scroller. The intended audience? Adriano's existing clients and hot leads. 🔥 Instead of aiming for mass appeal, we honed in on a more intimate connection with those who already know and appreciate Adriano's work. 🎥 So why did I shoot it this way, you ask? The goal was to create a narrative that delves into Adriano's personal journey and profound passion for music. It's a moment of stillness, carefully captured through locked-off shots and meticulously framed scenes. In a world obsessed with constant motion, I wanted to create a space for reflection. This video isn't about flashy transitions or capturing the attention of cold clients who might click away within seconds. It's about fostering a deeper connection with those who already resonate with Adriano's artistry. Each frame is carefully set, contributing to a visually nostalgic piece that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and immerse themselves in the essence of Adriano's musical journey. Sometimes, breaking the mold and going against the grain isn't just a risk – it's a deliberate choice to create something meaningful and authentic. ✨🎥 #ContentCreation #VideoProduction #Storytelling #CreativeExpression

The art of storytelling ✨ When it comes to editing, particularly with video, that's where the magic truly happens. It's not the easiest process, often there is a lot of walking away from the computer feeling uninspired. For me, it's the music. The moment I hear a song that I know will bring the clips I've captured together in the way they need to be, that's when the creative flow arrives. Storytelling is magic. I don't want to create videos for clients so that they'll simply 'go viral' on social media, I want to create videos and imagery that will ressonate with their audience and create impact in the way that they need it to. This video is a prime example of my creative process - the audio and music elevates the clips, bringing them together to tell a story. But, what do you think? Three shots from the ELEVEN brand video. Here's what made this video so powerful. Eleven was about to launch its rebranding and had a new brand book developed. The brand book gave visual outlines with a certain feeling. We translated that feeling into a video using storytelling, images, music, sound design, and color grading. The powerful thing about video is that it can evoke emotion. Emotion is what makes a message stick. So, think about which emotion you want to evoke in your next video. What is the feeling you get from these shots? More video-related content? Follow me Fred Vermeij #brandvideo #brand30 #video #videocontent

I have a big secret for capturing authentic, candid footage. Ready for it? It's very simple. When you're able to capture an honest and earnest response, please hold the camera with your hands as steady as possible. It won't be perfect, and you will wobble a bit, but that's the difference between a human being with a camera versus it being placed on a tripod or stabilizer. Another secret is to point the camera slightly up to invoke inspiration and grand presence. You can also acknowledge what the person is saying by nodding your head. Here is the most significant difference you will get by working with me. Too often, creators expect their subjects to adapt to their process. I do the opposite. My goal is to adapt to you, making the experience more genuine. Remember, handheld video content not only captures a more authentic feel but also allows for flexibility and spontaneity—ideal for storytelling that truly connects. #personalbranding #storytelling #marketing #videography

Video Content Specialist | Helping Founders & B2B Business Owners Turn Views into High-Quality Leads with Tailored Video Funnels
One thing I started doing recently? Video remakes. That's where I take a video that a creator or business owner had and remaking it using my own creativity. This year alone, I've made 16 remakes. Here's my honest opinion on them: 1. They're fun to make 2. They're creatively challenging 3. They showcase talent & and can be done Different strokes for different folks, right? These types of edits work well on: - X - TikTok - YouTube - Instagram But LinkedIn? Not so much. Still, I'm deciding to start sharing them on here anyway. Because: 1. It showcases editing styles my video agency can do. 2. Why not Moral of the story is this... Share your work. Doesn't matter what platform it's on. Doesn't matter what space it's in. Someone will see it. And they can either: 1. Become a client 2. Refer you to someone Win-win. Expect to see more of these videos in your timelines soon. #videostrategy

Now that we have YOUR attention, let’s chat about what needs to be done to make sure your content gets seen ↴ Like we said, your content needs to hit at least 1 of these 6 if you want to stop the scroll: NOVELTY → New photos… branding… something that is outside of the norm that may not necessarily look like it belongs. FAMILIARITY → If you’ve trained your audience to associate you with value or entertainment, familiar faces will often do the trick. ATTRACTIVENESS → Look, we’re all human – we’re conditioned to stop and look at “pretty” things. Graphics, scenery, yourself… try it out!! PATTERN INTERRUPTS → When something looks totally DIFFERENT than normal - it usually stops the scroll. A different style of video, colors, the dreaded voice-to-text, you get the jist!! CONTROVERSY → Clickbait. Politics. Reality TV. Allllll are great examples of how to light a fire under someone. CLARITY → If you can’t do *anything* else, make sure your graphics and posts are clear. No cursive fonts, no overly branded stuff – plain and simple friends. Now tell us: What typically makes you stop and read? Asking for a friend 🥲 #stopthescroll #contentideas #contenttips #branding #content #socialmediacontent #businessowner #smallbusiness

So here is the Answer to the question I previously asked ! and this is my very first attempt to make a video on my own! Yes - We DO have a team of EXPERTS to create videos :) But, the best way to understand their work, I prefer sitting alongside them and know what hurdles they face in their task. IT is not at all easy to convert a concept / an Idea or a thought into a video that is engaging, informative and interesting at the same time. So, Human Brain is the greatest editor in the world - know why. #marketing #digitalmarketing #video #videomarketing #production #videoproduction Akshay Thombare Shreyas Nakhare Nihar Thaliachery

🎬 Nothing worse than watching a trailer that gives away all the good parts... 🔑 Key takeaways we focus on: Pique Curiosity: Show enough to capture interest, but leave room for the viewer's imagination to fill in the blanks. Strategic Teasing: Highlight key moments without divulging the full narrative. This builds anticipation and keeps viewers engaged. Balance Information: Provide context and important details, but avoid overwhelming the audience with everything at once. Emotional Hook: Focus on evoking emotions rather than spilling the plot. Emotional connections are powerful and memorable. Pacing and Timing: Carefully plan the flow of your content. A well-timed reveal can make all the difference between a captivated audience and a disinterested one. Just as a masterful trailer makes us eager to watch the full film, our goal as editors and storytellers is to create content that leaves a lasting impression and makes our audience crave more. Let's craft stories that engage, excite, and enthrall, without giving everything away. 🎥✨ www.workprint.la/trailers #VideoEditing #Storytelling #ContentCreation #Marketing #FilmMaking
