Friday, May 3, 2024 Friday’s weekly report on jobs posted on LinkedIn. Holding steady at 1.5 million roles posted. Remote and hybrid continue their pathetic journey at far less than 10% of roles posted. Pro-tip: remote is NOT the wave of the future! If you’re able to work in an office…please consider it. Relocations are back as well. Jobs posted: 1,546,664 Remote: 81,584 (5.8%) Hybrid: 86,392 (5.6%) #ResumeIsKing #KeepPressingForward #AlwaysBeNetworking #UpdateYourLinkedInProfile #Engage #Pivot
And if you look at Total number of remote jobs on LinkedIn, the % drops below 5% And if you look at remote job descriptions, many are mislabeled and really hybrid and many are Remote within 1 specific state or even within a certain commute of a specific metro area #careersuccesssecrets
Thanks for the numbers Richard! I believe people are coming to grips with there being fewer and fewer truly remote jobs. It is discouraging to see that hybrid isn't getting stronger as remote weakens.
I think this is a truth that most jobseekers are coming around to accept. I also suspect there’s a lot more hybrid jobs out there, but employers don’t know how to set them up to appear as such on LinkedIn.

11moI’m surprised that remote and hybrid are less than 10%. It seems like there is plenty of research to demonstrate that hybrid and flexible options, when possible, net higher employee satisfaction.
