Richlite Company’s Post

This net zero home was featured on the cover of Spruce Magazine's Winter 2024 issue. Homebuilder Andrew Chapman poured everything he knew about sustainable building into his family's three-story home. Rainwater capture. Solar power. He even designed it to easily convert into a multifamily home when older relatives are ready to move in. For the cladding he chose a combination of salvaged cedar and Richlite. Richlite's recycled paper contents make it a highly sustainable option without sacrificing performance. It's legendary durability and water resistance mean it will protect the house for years to come with no need for replacement—further improving the home's environmental footprint. The result is a beautifully designed home that promotes a healthy future for Chapman's family. (Photos by Joshua Lawrence)
