Big day for STARC Systems Inc. Today is Day 1 of our field sales mid-year meeting. We dug deep and put together a participant guide for our session. Why? Good meetings without good notes are singular events. Our goal this week is to have actionable takeaways that we can measure. -Every great athlete watches film after a game. -Every great actor reviews scenes after a shoot. -Every great chef tastes his food after cooking it. -Every great investor monitors stocks after purchase. Do your top performers have the same attitude as Patrick Mahomes? "That's the attitude of a champion right there." "That was great leadership from their leader." Bill Belichick would know, being the most successful coach in NFL history. He was commenting on what Patrick Mahomes said after last week's game. In the video below, he talks about everything he and the team must do to improve. BTW- the team has won the last 2 Super Bowls and started the season 3-0, and he has been named MVP twice in his short career. I always compare sports and sales because of the similarities I have seen between good and bad teams. The team follows the attitude of the top performers. As a sales leader, when my top performers had an attitude like Mahomes, it made my life much easier- everyone followed the lead. On the other hand, if they had a bad attitude, it made my life a lot harder because they followed that lead. Ask yourself today if your top performers are people you would want to follow. If the answer is no, you are making your life harder than it needs to be.
