Puzzles are an excellent tool for helping children develop finger strength, perseverance, and problem-solving skills. Encourage your child to turn, flip, slide, and wriggle pieces into position. This activity enhances their hand-eye coordination while supporting fine motor skill development. By picking up, moving, and twisting puzzle pieces, children also build their finger strength and learn the value of persistence. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

The act of cutting is a common milestone in a child's development, typically occurring around the age of 2. It is a stepping stone towards improved fine motor skills and creativity, as well as an opportunity for self-expression. When your child begins cutting, encourage and support them to ensure a positive and safe experience. It is also essential to provide child-safe scissors that have blunt edges to avoid any accidents. This experience is an exciting time for your child as they grow and learn, and it's a privilege to witness their progress! #fine-motor-skills #scissor-skills #childhood-curiosity #creativity #self-expression #child-safety #ParentingJourney #ChildsGrowth #MilestoneMoments #ExploringTheWorld #Cutting #2YearsOld #HandEyeCoordination #MotorSkillDevelopment #FineMotorSkills #SpatialAwareness #Child #Encourage #Support ##Joyful

Behavior is communication best understood through a trauma lens. Once you understand the message everything makes sense.
This comment is heartbreaking especially once we begin to look beyond behaviours and understand the circumstances to which a child might be surviving through. So often the challenges we face with some children can overshadow their many strengths and talents and therefore they can be stuck with labels that don't give them a chance to be seen for who they really are. #traumas #educators #schools #traumaresponse #childhoodtrauma #aces #safety #connection #teachersmatter #chasingnormalmemoir

Empowering Organizations to Embrace Client-First Business and Digital Transformation | Dedicated to Advancing Economic, Educational, and Data Equity for All |
The Dance of Workplace Dynamics: 'What Employees Wish Their Bosses Knew...' Let's start with the affirmation that adult employees are not children, not in the context of the graphic or at workplaces with certain managerial dynamics. What rings true are the following resonating parallels: 1. How children pick up on the "bad kids" label in the classroom ↔️ observations of employees experiencing authoritative transactional leadership by their managers. 2. These are the savvy employees, the "not-bad kids" equivalent ↔️ they want their leaders to know they want to be trusted to excel in their roles and acknowledgment it's ok, even expected to not always color within the lines drawn by the culture of it results in business iterations vital to business objectives. The alternative, particularly with micromanagement, over-correction, dismissiveness, passed over for promotions and or negative performance reviews, according to scholarly research, is employees will effectively shut down their usual excitement to share their abilities, as well as their capacity to access their executive function because their sense of agency is minimized or controlled by managers who have assumed (often intuitively) a parental or teacher role (Soares, 2023). In addition, because of the stigmas unique to this situation, employees endeavor to resolve this in silence rather than seek help from friends and peers. What's the answer, you ask? I won't presume to be a subject matter expert or suggest prescriptive solutions for each organizations unique relationships and cultures. I defer to science and research for the following strategies: 1. A true North truism for any organization is determined to avoid undermining employee skills and well-being that unavoidably occur as a product of this type of power dynamic, by adopting smart management practices (Peter Kenttä, 2016). 2. A specific management approach is partnering requiring mutual trust and between Manager and employee who foster an experience of, "...holding out for each other's highest good, and holding each other accountable for a culture that cultivates decision-making capability, helping employees own and manage their own engagement, deepening relationships, unlocking results and releasing energy..."(Soares, 2023). In other words, keep creating supportive and inclusive cultures for yourself and your colleagues. #inclusivecultures #leadership #wellbeing #traumainformedworkplace #traumainformed #traumasensitive #dei #socialimpact #research #advovacy
