The Ascott Limited is '𝗜𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝘂𝗹', highlights Isobel Lee in her latest story for PropertyEU.
With almost 1,000 properties spanning serviced residences, coliving properties, hotels and resorts globally, Ascott continues to build on its established business of long stays, while pursuing growth in the short stays sector. Ascott's flex-hybrid hotel-in-residence model ensures that while its properties can meet the needs of transient guests who are seeking accommodation for short stays, they can also pivot in line with demand to cater to guests who seek more space for extended stays in a serviced apartment - which has become a mainstream accommodation choice today.
𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙩-𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 - Building upon a portfolio of global brands to drive higher quality growth with a focus on management and franchise contracts, Ascott is on track to achieve its target of more than S$500 million in fee earnings by 2028.
𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 - A growing focus for Ascott, this includes the conversion of both hospitality assets as well as adaptive re-use of buildings currently operating under alternative asset classes. With an established conversion framework in place, Ascott is well placed to drive a quick project turnaround time of as short as 30 days.
𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣 𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚 - Europe plays a key role in Ascott's expansion plans, thanks to its reputation as a global tourism and business hub. Within Europe, Ascott is home to over 60 properties, with 17 in the capital of France, Paris. Alongside the debut in new destinations as well as AEI of existing properties and rebranding projects, Ascott is set on growing demand from Europe travellers, with a target to place the region as a top-three source market for the company. Given the diverse and dynamic nature of the region’s hospitality sector, Chief Executive Officer Kevin Goh, strongly believes that there is "plenty of scope for Ascott to drive more successful partnerships with owners."
In a rapidly evolving market, Ascott is committed to business for the long term, while also meeting the needs of guests seeking accommodation for the long-haul. Creating sustained value for both our owners and guests, Chief Growth Officer Serena Lim aptly sums up "We can ride recovery, but also the rough times."
