I know it’s national inclusion week. I know the topic is impact matters. But have we forgotten that anxiety and trauma do not go away simply no matter how resilient the people we know may appear to be. There is much happening in the world and within the demographic that is home (home life; workplace; social and environmental context) that can be triggering in nature, yet our people may not feel able, especially during a time of economic uncertainty, to really voice how they are feeling; what the path to healing might entail. If we do nothing else, and indeed do so beyond this week, let’s remember to check in with our people, family, friends, those you lead or indeed follow, old and new acquaintances and those you have yet to formally discover. To ask how folk are is to care; to create safe spaces for listening and sharing is to care; to care creates impact beyond measure. Happy National Inclusion Week.

🌍 Today as we celebrate International Day of People with Disability, we are reflecting on the importance of inclusivity in our workplaces. This year’s theme is ‘Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future’. With around 20 percent of Australians identifying as having a disability, it’s crucial we raise awareness and acceptance. At Zinfra, we’re committed to creating a workplace that’s inclusive, supportive and where everyone feels they can belong. 🌟 Join Us for Black Inclusion Week May 13th - 19th! 🌟 Black Inclusion Week is taking place from May 13th to 19th - https://lnkd.in/eWQQDWEj This week-long event is dedicated to celebrating Black excellence, fostering dialogue, and driving meaningful change towards a more inclusive workplace, communities and society. Why Black Inclusion Week Matters: Black voices, experiences, and contributions are integral to the fabric of organisations, businesses and broader communities. However, systemic barriers and inequalities persist, hindering the full realisation of diversity, equity and inclusion. Commitment: During Black Inclusion Week, we should all reaffirm our personal commitment to fostering a culture of belonging where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. We recognise the importance of amplifying Black voices, advocating for equity, equality and dismantling barriers to racism and opportunities. What to Expect: Throughout the week, they will be hosting a series of engaging events, discussions, and workshops focused on various aspects of Black inclusion, including: · Panel discussions featuring Black leaders and influencers sharing their insights and experiences. · Workshops on allyship and creating inclusive spaces. · Celebration of Black people in society. · Networking opportunities to connect with colleagues and allies passionate about diversity and inclusion. Get Involved: We invite all employees to actively participate in Black Inclusion Week by attending events, joining conversations, and championing diversity and inclusion in their daily interactions. Together, we can create a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to reach their full potential. Stay Connected: Be sure to follow Black Inclusion Week on LinkedIn for updates and announcements throughout Black Inclusion Week. Today marks the start of national inclusion week. Bit what does it even mean?! We have many differences that we can all celebrate but so many people for whatever reasons don’t feel able to be themselves. Inclusion means creating an environment where people feel they can be themselves. Where differences don’t mean segregation they mean a recipe to collaborate and work to our strengths. To teach each other about what other difference we have and why they are important but not blockers. Building a culture to enable people to thrive. Inclusion is the first part of creating an environment where people feel they belong. Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) are building a culture of inclusion and belonging.

Help! I'm scared of saying the wrong thing. Is the perfect workshop for National Inclusion Week, and here's why… What happens when we're afraid of saying the wrong thing? If we let that fear take over, we will: - Reduce the number of conversations we have - Limit the amount of people we connect with - Miss out on valuable new ideas and perspectives And without intending to, we can create exclusion. We can begin to think about, what's the real cost—for us as individuals and for our organisations—when our people feel scared of saying the wrong thing? But here's the good news: we *can* build inclusive cultures by embracing open dialogue, not shying away from it. This workshop is all about equipping you with easy, practical tips to do just that, in a safe and supportive space. If you're interested, here's a sneak peek of what you can expect from this warm and insightful session. If you’re interested in this workshop for this month. Here are the current spots I have available: - Fri 20th - Mon 23rd 2 or 3pm - Tues 24th - Fri 27th 12 or 1pm - Mon 30th

We are now in the UK's National Inclusion Week What is National Inclusion Week? The organisers sent me this:- Founded by Inclusive Employers, National Inclusion Week (NIW) is a week dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces, this year it takes place from 23rd – 29th September. The theme for National Inclusion Week 2024 is ‘Impact Matters’, a call-to-action to everyone in your organisation, from leaders, to inclusion professionals through to teams and individuals.
