Zakat Collection Service Our Community Zakat Program in collaboration with National Zakat Foundation has given out over £40,000 of zakat to over 400 people since the end of March this year. Through this program we have welcomed people into our Centre, and reassured them that someone cares about and for them. The relationships built enabled people to access our other services like legal advice, madrassa, Islamic Counselling, substance misuse, Scouts and sports, either at a reduced rate or for free. A natural next step was to introduce the collection of zakat. Today we launched this service with a talk by NZF CEO Dr Sohail Hanif. https://lnkd.in/ec67ehQq
