#SAVEFREEDOM #SAVEISS It really is an abomination that short sighted bureaucrats are being allowed to proceed with the destruction of a #universalheritagesite. Rather than a single use deorbit system, #NASA could be supporting development of a large scale tug or a swarm of AI controlled mini tugs that could move ISS to 500 miles or so and moth ball it so that future generations will be able to visit one of the most historic buildings on or off of the Earth. This will add to what seems to be a growing list of ridiculous and embarrassing group-think cash cow programs coming out of the agency’s human spaceflight club - which includes some agency leaders, congressional staffers, lobbyists, and White House staff. They simply don’t seem to get what we might be on the verge of achieving. And which, if we do succeed, will bring more wealth, strategic leadership & optimism to our country than anything they currently have on the books - and will have been done in many ways in spite of them - not because of them. Saving ISS would be a declaration of confidence that America and the free nations are serious about opening the High Frontier. #SAVEISS !!!!!
Let’s start a National or International petition online document where we could rally supporters and signatures? It’s the moment for Global Sustainability action , which is imperative for this planet (and all other planets) as well as free space habitats. #SaveISS. It doesn’t have to operate as #humanrated, which makes its operations far more affordable.

The fact that that they can even contemplate destroying it is just another reflection of not taking spaceflight seriously. It seems that no matter how much our society depends upon satellite systems, technologies, and soon resources and manufacturing contingent upon space-based capabilities, it remains an “unserious” matter to many on the Hill and to too many of the public. And so the damage of the space race era rather than beginning with making space access and activity practical continues. Just hoping that SpaceX and others will continue to have the opportunity to change that in coming years.
